Hotel was built 4 years ago, quite new. The receptionist is very friendly, she helps a lots with hot water ( for drink and instant noodle). Hotel room is not so big but clean enough, just fits for two adult. If you brings kids, you will need extra bed for better sleep. Remember to get some anti-bug because you will see lots of insects that you never see before. The toilet is clean, provides hot water ( my last visit, I didn't get hot water because the heater was broken). Hotel also provides two towels and two bottles of mineral water. Bed is quite hard but still ok. The pillow and blanket have lots of yellow spot, don't know what it is. Hotel don't provide wi-fi. The scene is very beautiful. The weather is hot in the noon and cold but not breeze in the night. Hotel have restaurant but they don't provide any foods so be prepared, bring your food otherwise you will be starving. Hotel have sulphur vapor, very good for health. Hotel also have each one big and small swimming pool. The pool is not very clean. Bring your sneaker not sandal for your safety. Hotel's room price is not cheap, you can check online for reference. Mine is about 750k for one night/room. Lots of hot spring nearby.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Dainang, it was quiet and relaxing, but we had to buy mobile data, which are cheap and can be found at many shops, because there's no Wi-Fi in this hotel. The rooms are clean and nice, there's a swimming pool and one can also swim in the lake. TV channels are mainly in local language, we couldn't find any English speaking channel, so we didn't watch TV.

Worst service though the room is considerably new. We booked 3 VIP rooms, one of the room was very small. Luckily we checked the next door, it is much bigger. Be careful with the.corner VIP room. No bed sheets for extra bed and only 1 towel/room.
Breakfast was worst. Really not worth the value! The people are used for complaints, therefore they don't care.response / report this review -

Termasuk hotel yg baru, dikawasan pemandian air panas (hot spring). pemiliknya bupati samosir. ada kolam renang, kalau kurang besar bisa kesebelahnya langsung ke danau toba. recepsionisnya lumayan ramah. pelayanan kurang maksimal seperti layaknya hotel berbintang. tidak ada wifi gratis. untuk istirahat cukup nyaman. ðŸ¤

Hotel milik Bupati, pelayanannya kurang memuaskan, menu makanan selalu sama setiap hari, air minum tidak tersedia, kamar tidak dibersihkan, tapi pwmandangannya bagus

pemandangannya mantap, posisi di pinggir danau toba dekat dengan pemandian air panas, ada kolam renangnya. kalau kurang besar kolamnya tinggal pindah ke sebelahnya langsung ke danau toba
