Should be a good hotel with spacious space however it seems they do not maintain it. For hotel in this area and this price; there are other hotel that is better at system and facility.
The tv is still small (20 inch), a lot of power source is dead. Some of The lift buttons are dead, breakfast is normal, no choices in shower water only 1 kind of warm temperature, and the receptionist do not want to be held responsible for customer request on rooms. For example u have to come on the day you are staying to check whether u get smoking room or not (i have to wait for 30 minutes at reception at 4.00 pm to check whether or not i get the requested room)response / report this review -

The meeting room is good, and especially the food, the best hotel food I ever tasted in Jakarta. The service and the security is also good. You have helicopter?! I think they have helipad if you want to reach the hotel from above.

It located at the centre of Jakarta, near to gondangdia railway station. I went there for conference meeting but I don't stay night. the meeting room was so great. The food was so delicious and many menu option. The service was so good. If I could I would like give them 6 stars

it is older and cheaper than the typical Grand Hyatt and I like the room a lot, and there is a good chance that it was the hotel we rest at during a stopover or earlier before our flight to the US the other day on our 1981 group vacation tour

The staffs are friendly. The room that I stayed is very spacious and could hold at least another two extra beds. Very clean except some part of the furniture and toilet accessories are quite worn out. One minor drawback of the room is, the room temperature is centralised which during the day, the room can be quite warm. The room comes with breakfast and they are not bad at all. All in all, the hotel is a good choice to stay if you wouldn't mind of spending extra money to get to places for food and shopping.

Went to Shima Japanese restaurant. Very very good, will definitely recommend this to everyone. The Best part is the dessert its a flaming ice cream with grilled banana. My goodness thinking of the ice cream makes me want to come back even more

The hotel is well located close to all the major attractions.
The rooms were a little dated and overall the hotel is pretty old but elegant nonetheless.
The breakfast buffet consisted of a wide variety of options and everything was pretty tasty.
The only thing I would say about this hotel is that the staff seemed like they were under a lot of pressure, this resulted in a less than warm welcome and from all my travels I can say for certain that happy staff make the experience that much more memorable and enjoyable.
I think the management will do well if they focused on their staff satisfaction levels and employee benefit packages as I am certain this will help lift spirits and provide the expected atmosphere for a hotel that boasts a 5 star rating.response / report this review -

Favorite old hotel for family time. Kids love the pool area. Foods are varied and suitable for our tastebuds. Staff are super friendly. You can walk to the National Monument from the hotel.

An old five star hotel. With a poor interior. I have never stayed here though, just had dinner at the restaurant. I think they should change their furniture to give a little fresh look. But the location is very good. Walking distance to the national monument and Gambir train station and some other touristic place.

we stayed at their Signature Junior Suite for weekend getaway, such a lovely hotel and worth it. afternoon tea time also cocktail time at the club lounge are the compliments. we love the quality of the food, nice staff, and the facilities (there also jacuzzi)

It was a decent stay; Just too crowded as expected of a big city hotel; Reception staff a bit cold in treating the guests. Junior level staff like room service and housekeeping are good.

Its good for its price. The lobby/cafe is quite lively with many people with different background coming for meeting/casual. The power outlet is cumbersome using multi adapter for different countries. It's convenient only for 3 prong type (US type). For 2 prong type ala indonesia/EU you have to push the ground hole using very small portruding object (pen). I've seen several guests had trouble with it. I've tested two power outlets and one of them didn't work

This 4star hotel, style remain the same with other hotel with same level, but this recommend for family stay over the weekend#nice place and good strategic to City tour to Monas or car free days on sunday.

The room is old and really lacking, the AC in my room did not work properly, all the confusing on/off switch. Last but not least, I had one of the worst breakfast in a five star hotel, but props to the egg station.

Luxurious hotel with good hospitality. The staff is polite and helpful. However, some room facilities are broken. Breakfast and in-room dining are available at the hotel, but food's taste is not so delicious in my opinion

An old hotel with few staff that helps you to go around. The rooms are fairly large, while the equipments look old. The swimming pool is a standard rectangular pool without any perks.

The service is very good, staffs are well trained. Room is comfortable. Initially I was offered a smoking room, but fortunately I can ask to switch to a non smooking room. Breakfast quality is also good.
But the most important aspect is the location, this hotel very close to Gambir station only 10 minutes walking with normal speed.response / report this review -

Great service from staff. Very clean ambience. Has good facilities like pool , spa and on site taxi. There is a Japanese restaurant, Italian restaurant, a bistro and a german themed bar named The Tavern.

Good old Hotel. 4 star hotel located near Gambir Railway Station. Easy to reach if you get to Jakarta by train but if you're looking for restaurant near the hotel there are only KFC and A&W.

I loved the room, it was clean & have large space. but for a labeled 5-star hotel, your tv channel and quality are not great.
Location is perfect, in the center of Jakarta near almost every city objects. Especially when in new year eve. Great spot.
But I have to complain about food served for breakfast, you seems not prepared for a full booked room situation. It is a chaos at the time we went for breakfast, nearly everything is run out, and we have to wait more than 30 minutes to get a proper hotel breakfast.

It's an old hotel smells like old hotels. European electrical plugs, which should be Indonesian standard, are not available. Other than these, it's a good place to stay and good food to enjoy.

An old hotel, nothing runs perfect but a great value deal if you use discount from online booking website. So weird that people smoke in the lobby freely, not inside a special room as per local regulation for public places. The furnitures and equipments in the room are just adequate, standard. Some signs of break down for the bath shower though. The room AC is low powered. It is slightly breezy only, not hot, but makes you wonder whether it will be more comfy to not use the blanket. The free wifi is great though, above average speed for Indonesia standard. The strategic place and the discount mentioned are the reason this is a great value deal.

This is a relatively old 5 star hotel, but it's maintained fairly well. By today's standards this is probably more like a 4 star hotel. Rooms are run of the mill but clean. Prices are quite cheap, probably 50 to 80 USD per night for a double, so in a sense it's pretty good value. If you are on a budget, this is not a bad place to stay, just don't expect anything special.
