Stayed one night in this hotel after a long trip from Jakarta to Bukit tinggi was a good decision. The reception was efficient and we managed to get the room quickly. The room was nice and clean with a small balcony facing to the mountain. The morning temperature was pleasant and I could enjoy the fresh air. The breakfast was pretty good with lots of local food selection. Would stay here again on the next trip.

Actually it is or it should be great hotel, with excellent view, that is if you have room facing the valley. I spent 2 nights here, with no hot water in first night, the machine was broken they said and 1 of their only 2 lifts is not working without notification when it will be operational again

I went there on a business trip. Here is the summary:

Plus:
- Perfect location. Only 10-15 mins walking to Jam Gadang, Istana Bung Hatta, and Ngarai Sianok
- They serve good food. Quality breakfast I must say.
- If you seek some traditional food, there are tons of food stall ready to provide authentic taste of Minangese food.
- Great hall. The technician was very helpful. The hall space was enough to held meeting of 100+ participants

Minus:
- Dusty carpet
- Toilet stank
- Dark and gloomy aisle
- I'm not really sure if it should be listed as a minus point, but the 24 hrs Minang music played in the aisle was a little bit annoying to me

One of great hotel in Bukittinggi. They have good view to Ngarai Sianok and Marapi Singgalang. The breakfas is great taste. They have pool, but the changing and shower, when I was there, still in renovation.

This hotel is located strategicallny near jam gadang and panorama sianok. Well-spent time here since the receptionist is so humble and kind, and the view of the room is so beautiful. Even it costs a bit, but it is cheaper comparing to other high rate hotel.

Great view. This hotel, welcome you with Bukittinggi's cool air and touch the eye with a very beautiful view behind it self.
You can see part of those "pretty faces of Bukittinggi" just from the elevator. Yes. They hae transparant elevator. Feel weird at the first time. Kinda freak me out, but fun!
The place just so in the right point.

The building might be old. But the interior cover that. The price tells everything about the goodness inside this hotel. I think it's quite a good place for a honeymoon, familymoon, group, and other kind of that.

This hotel offer more than just a comfy room, but good breakfast either. So enjoying your meal in the morning is the best ever when you have your breakfast in this hotel's restaurant. Once again, the great view standing right above your eye.

New hotel with amazing view of Sianok Canyon. It is really close to the city centre and some popular sights and tourist attractions such as Kinantan Zoo, Benteng Fort de Kock, Big Clock Tower, etc. This place is highly recommended!

Easy to reach historical locations, The views is very good especially from the room with balcony and I do like the foods. The price is affordable and consider cheap.

Grand Rocky hotel is the hotel in Bukittinggi. It is located on top of the hill in the center of the town. It has a specially designed elevator where you can the view of the famous Sianok Canyon as you move to the higher floor. The restaurant also serves the authentic Minangkabau dishes that will satisfy your taste.
