Came here for business purpose since this one allow us to smoke inside the room and having a meeting.
The room was old, furniture needs changes, it leaves lots of stains in almost every spot (bed, sofas and carpets). The Wi-fi connection was okay, not so fast but acceptable. The service was great staff are friendly and willing to help. But the room service took very very long time to accommodate our needs (we asked for plate and spoon and it came in like 20 minutes after).response / report this review -

Grand Jatra Hotel located at a strategic position, connected with Pekanbaru Mall & some entertainment places also other hotels, enjoy the Indonesian & Western meal.

This hotel is superb. A good friend of mine and his family booked it and I got my own room. Wifi is fast for Indonesia standard. That is a good breakfast that mix western style with local food. Beds are comfortable and shower is great. That is a mall nearby.

When it was breakfast time, they didn't even have salt and pepper on the table. The service in the restaurant is poor. I think they don't even know how to treat guests properly. The room was just okay.

Under my expectation of 5 stars hotel..they served only 1 clean glass rather than 2, no small towel, no hair dryer, no fluffy bed, not good window sight seeing

Nice enough hotel - it's probably a bit faded from its heyday, but the room was spacious and comfortable. My only complaint was the limited breakfast buffet, which is more attuned to Asian tastes and is a bit greasy.

There's not a lot of parking space available, the staff are not really friendly, the breakfast buffet doesn't have a lot of choices compared to other hotels. The staff in breakfast restaurant was so rushed to take the empty plate from our table eventhough we're still eating. The location is located in the city but the hotel located in a small road with little access. I think they should consider change their rating from 5 star hotel to 3 star hotel

Overpriced, the furnitures and decoration in bedrooms looked old. The buffet for breakfast not so special. But at least, they have big swimming pools at rooftop and great entertaiment like live music.

The Kueh Lupis at the breakfast restaurant is best ever I'm fully commanded to try When I'll be in Pekanbaru again I'll stay at Jatra hotel only because I love the Jatra Kueh Lupis, Thanks to the chef & I have met him.

The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly! Service is good and the employees have good English skills.
Breakfast is good and the dining room is comfortable big.
Air conditioning in the room is poor. The temperature is about 26 degrees even the fan has been on all day, difficult to sleep.
Pool is small. There were a lot of children swimming and playing which is fine. But it was not fine that some of the mothers and fathers were swimming with shirts and trousers on. No hygienic etiquette?
A bottle ofl bier costs over 100 000 rupiah which is hugely overpriced compared to prices outside hotel. Due to the high prices there is no people in the lobby bar or in the night club even on the Saturday night.
The Wifi is working but the speed is poor. It is just fast enough to write this review.response / report this review -
