The best "rapport qualité/prix" !
Great team (managers and locals), very friendly, a spot few meters away, and all u need to enjoy your stay in mentawais !
It was simply perfect ! And beers were always cold !

Really bad aggrissive atmosphere in water. Danger behave n surfguard doesn’t care. no uppolagase just start argument n fight. Each camp create atmosphere of guests n surfguard support don’t scared stay outside n get best barrels n doesn’t push gests drop other people on shoulder section.

Recently back from Gingin Mentawai surf lodge where I surfed the best waves of my life by far, so stoked!
This place is a proper paradise..
Thanks to all crew for looking after us.
I highly recommend this lodge to anyone.

Ticked this off my bucket list.but once youve been it wont be a once off 🖒. Awesome surf of varying levels with a primo wave at the door. Locally prepared food that hits the spot. This place pumps like the surflock it in 😀🍺

There is nothing better than waking up before everyone and paddling out and getting a few waves before everyone else's gets up! That exactly what I did everyday at Gin Gins. I was the last to bed every night and the first in the water everyday. Gin Gins has a wicked break, Beng Bengs right out the front. I had my fill of waves everyday before everyone else got up. I had a epic session every day before anyone could even be bothered to come out. I would then head in for a fat feed cooked up for by the friendly staff and chill and get ready to be back out there or be ready to jump in the boat to explore the other options available in the playgrounds area before most guests had even bothered to think about what to do that day. There are plenty of other wave around so you can jump in the boat and check them depending on conditions. If you go on a adventure during the day checking waves when you get back, everyone is worn out and dusted so you can paddle out for the champagne hour again by yourself, just out the front and surf until you can't see anymore. I've done charters before and there ok but charters have to anchor. I've already paid for my trip everyday just being able to paddle out first before anyone else or any charter can be at any wave and again every night surfing till I can't see anymore. I will rebook again and again at GinGins Mentawai Surf Lodge, so I get to surf Beng Bengs everyday morning and night. Awesome resort!! Super friendly owners & staff, ideally located in front of one of the most fun wave in the Ments! Even with a low swell forecast the staff made sure we got to the best spots on offer and I undoubtedly caught the best waves in my life. There's AC in the room which can be a real plus on hot days. Apart from that, the small size of the camp, the friendliness of staff, and the fact that there is no internet made our stay even more special as it really felt like break from our busy Sydney life. Mentawais is the surfing heaven, and Gin-Gin is the place you wanna be staying! Yeew
