GEREJA KATHEDRAL IDJEN

Lokasinya terletak di Jl. Guntur No. 2 Malang. Gereja yang dibangum pada
28 Oktober 1934 ini merupakan Gereja Kathedral bertipikal Belanda asli. Bisa
dibuktikan dari-bentuk eksterior dan interior serta ornamen-ornamennya,
Gereja ini pernah direnovasi pada 27 Juli 2002. Awalnya Gereja ini bernama Santa
Tereshia kemudian berganti nama Santa Maria Bunda Carmel pada 1961.
Kathedral berarti pusat atau area yang berada di tengah-tengah Gereja, atau bisa
dikatakan juga kalau Kathedral juga Area Keuskupan utama. Kathedral Idjen
termasuk salah satu Kathedral terindah di Indonesia

Catholic Church St Mary, Ijen, Malang, east Java

This church one of the oldest churches in Malang particularly and in eastern Java generally. The place's very classic for elite area housed in the former Dutch East Indies is on the road Ijen besar.

As is known Dutch first to build a number of plantations in Malang areas, ranging from sugar cane, tea in Wonosari Lawang, until Apples in Batu. No wonder the city is pretty much hapless Dutch heritage, ranging from buildings in the city center up a sugar factory in the surrounding Malang and don't miss a resting place in Batu on the mountainside van der Man and in Cangar.

Malang catholic church cathedral, Ijen besar, though not large but very beautiful church and therefore must be preserved and regularly Malang city government recently organized a festival Malang past along the way Ijen besar.

I suggest this place is worth a visit as one of the sites the Catholic past that has a high historical value.
