5-8 years ago this mall is considered 'outdated' and mostly visited by lower-middle class secondary school students nearby. But being located at the center of the city still attracts brands and world chain restaurants to rent tenants here. In 2014, a fine dining restaurant (named "Canting") was opened at the rooftop. In 2016, Starbucks opened its 4th store in the city here. These have since washed out the 'tacky' image of the mall. Also a good spot for you to grab a lunch if you prefer much less crowd than any other malls.

They make great improvement right now and i love it. Slowly bit sure they will become as same as the other big malls in Jogja. Plus, this mall is the nearest one for me.

Not so big mall but it's quite enough if you want to spend your time there by doing window shopping or buy some snacks and beverages. There's no theater but you can go to Empire XXI nearby.
I'm not sure but i think there's no supermarket. There's coffee shop such as Starbucks, food court, and many more.report this review -

Not too big but it's quite complete. One of my fav place to hangout with friends for sightseeing bcs it's near campuse area. JCo and breadtalk are already open there 👍

Small mall in Yogyakarta. Has a nice smaller Starbucks. Some basic shops and a nice rooftop restaurant Canting.

AFAIK this is one of the oldest mall in Yogyakarta. Don't really know when it's first opened, but by 2002 it's already there. The stores inside is like usual other malls. But, if you prefer spacy and less crowded place to hangout/shopping, this is the place.

One of the earliest mall in Jogja city. Got an old school arcade games called Timezone. Although it doesn't have cinema like all of the newest mall in town, it still fun place to hang out with friends. Oh, it's also got Jaben.Network for you audiophile out there.

This mall is 8 mins walking distance from Novotel hotel Yogyakarta and 5 mins from one of well know hospital, Bethesda.
Its lower ground floor has variety of eating places plus a supermarket, and cafe on the ground floor.report this review -

People love to visit Galleria mall because its located in the centre of the town. Its quite small but it provides stuff with affordable price.

I love this mall! I saved so much money on clothing (around 200-250 dollars). Definitely recommend this place if you're trying to find good clothing like polo, chaps, etc. for cheap a prices.

the location is quite strategic. however, due to their not-so-large area then you may find it a little bit difficult to find parking space especially during holiday. the vip parking fee is expensive, compared to other shopping mall in town. but this place is suitable for you who just want to hang out in the not-so-crowded shopping malls.

While there are good food options and a great Matahari store, the renovation of the downstairs supermarket has reduced its appeal so I won't be visiting Galeria anymore.

One of my fave mall in Jogja. Its food court still served delicious bakso since years ago. However the supermarket in basement didn't provide many things yet.

Compared to other malls, the stall options are pretty limited. I like the foodcourt more, because it's cheap! Also, with Starbucks in the corner, I'd spend my time here for sure. The good thing: Cheaper than other malls!

Local mall. Not luxury but cost is reasonable and you can see how local people enjoy there. If you need taxi to go back to your accommodation, ask information desk. They will help you. Staffs are nice and kind.

This 'mall' is quite compact compare to other more recent malls at Jogjakarta. But its strategic location make this mall still rejuvenate its potent as one gathering place in the city.

One of the oldest shopping malls in the city. Prices here (food, fashion, other products) are a bit cheaper compared to the other newer malls. Nice place to stay for a while from city's madness. You can just window shop, eat food, ice cream, drink fresh beverages, play in the gaming area, or hangout with friends or family.

A lovable mall for the beautiful women around to showcase their beauty. Mostly are school girls thou, yet most of which are good for the eyes. Amazing sightseeing after a workload.

As located in central of the city, this mall gives a small choice of tenants to choose compared to other malls. If you want to hangout, this is not a great place to go. However, you can find delicious and inexpensive foods at the foodcourt here.
