This is the starting place to climb the papandayan mountain.. they got food place, some mountain gear shops, toilets, parking space, and the papandayan administrative post..
You can park your car here and go up climbing the mountain for a day or two..response / report this review -

A well maintained base camp with spacious parking lot. Tons of street food vendors lying around you will feel like you're in a market. Not in a chaotic way though because it's pretty organized. Kudos to the park management that puts effort to keep this facility well operated.
You can also find porters here that would carry your backpack carriers or even yourself all the way up to the camping ground for 150.000 rupiah. When hiking feels more like hitchhhiking.response / report this review -

Here for the start, you can buy your supply before going to hike Mt. Papandayan.. it just there is not enough place for many person to stay at night.. home stay is so small

Many things has changed over the years at Papandayan. Now it has become much more organized, as well expensive. But you get to have a much decent parking lot, a hot spring pool, and a viewing tower. But Papandayan still one of my favorite short-hike mountains.

Have an amazing sunrise view. Better you come in the early morning. Don't forget to bring your winter jacket because the weather cold in there. Watchout for the road access because so many sand. I think they just fix the road that's why there are so many sand

Nice base camp. We left our vehicles overnight here and everything was still there when we came back. You can find food, paying toilets, drinks.
The road up to this base camp is "alright". Some potholes along the way, but they were not too bad.response / report this review -

After 10 years, this place has shown lots of improvements and yet also some degradation, in my perspective. The place is now well organized and spacey parking lot for the hikers who used vehicle to get here. There are still construction in a few spot that supposed to be a place for the stall to sell merchandise for tourists. But the garbage and the no littering sign should have much bigger, so that people able to see it from far away and put away their litter in the right place. Over all, i liked it. Keep the improvements. Happy hiking!!
