Cakalang is the best dive resort on the island. Very friendly staff and Ferdinand has so many stories and he's great to have a beer with. Jimmy was our dive guide and I've never felt safer in the water. Will hopefully be back to visit the crew again in February 2018!

Most of the accommodations on Bunaken are pretty competitively priced. Some may even have slightly bigger gaps in the mangroves to look through, but a few things set this place apart from the rest First, they have the best food on Bunaken - dinner is made from scratch and always amazing! They have their own dive center, with good gear. And last, diving or not, the best snorkeling is just a few flipper kicks out past the mangroves - just swim out to the drop off and prepare to be mesmerized! Just beware of the currents :)
