It was nice trip, the villages and family shrines amazing but the big tree itself was not worth the trip I mean it was nice but don’t do the long drive just for the tree

An enormous tree to drive right through! It is a very special sacred spot for the locals and apparently you should only drive through one way?? We stopped for 10 mins on the way to other west Bali destinations. As others have said many times, really fun to see, but not worth the long drive from where you are likely staying. A great pit stop.

Nice place to visit as part of day trip if you stay in medewi or wanna go to Lovina through mountains. We have stopped at local waterfalls on the way back. Nice scooter drive, good view

Nice drive into the mountains if you are in Jembrana. Very old and tall tree - a combination of 3 types of ficus trees. A tunnel has been carved into the combined stems of the tree so tall and wide that a bus can pass. A small tempel is attached on one entrance. Nice view into the mountains from the other side. 2 small warung on each side for snack or drinks. If you start early in the morning you can drive through the mountains to Sririt on the North coast and drive towards Gilimanuk and back to Negara. The roads are good and safe.

Cool drive up to see this amazing tree. Fun to be able to drive through the tree and amazing surroundings on the bridge just past the tree with breathtaking mountain views. Only downfall would be the fact that the locals drap fabric on the tree and ribbons that may detract from its natural beauty and cover up some of its amazing above ground root system. (Understood that this may be a religious Hindu tradition or have to do with a local ceremony and I have respect for other people's chocies, especially if they are the local people to that area)

The tree is cool if it's on your way, but it is not worth driving 2 hrs out of the way. On a positive note, not a lot of tourist. In fact, the locals seemed surprised to see us ther.

Spectacular giant tree with hole

I don't know how old this tree, but according the locals, it's over hundred years old, maybe several hundred years? But the tree is real amazing, so big, so tall and it's not one tree, but combined from two or three trees together.

According the locals, in the past, the hole is small, but they make it big because of the road, so the vehicle can go through. If you notice, there's a sign board and the other small road beside. The sign said that the small road is for wedding ceremony and funeral ceremony. The two ceremonies is prohibited through the hole in the middle of the tree because will cause bad luck..

You can go here with car or motorbike, it's a long long trip from Ubud or Kuta, but along the road there's nice scenery, and you can visit Vihara Dharma Giri in Tabanan on the way home

This one of the oldest tree among others around that has unique size at the bottom where vehicle could pass through it and it has awesome views around.

The tree is cool if it's on your way, but it's definitely wasn't worth driving 2 hrs out of the way. It doesn't seem like a lot of tourist drive by since people seemed to stair at us as we drove past on the motorbike.
