One of the most famous public park in Aceh as it is located in the heart of Banda Aceh, and lots of local go here to hangout at the local street vendor or go jogging. The place have some monuments inside it, which is the replica of RI-001 Seulawah which is the first plane owned by Indonesia and then the basis of the great Garuda Indonesia airlines, the other monument is the Aceh thanks the world's monument, which is a set of 53 plaque circling the park telling how Aceh people thanks and gratitude to each of the nation that help them from the 2004 Indian ocean tsunami disaster.

really hope if the caretaker would made the restroom cleaner, and also made the place tidier. I'll go there more often.
but overall it's a good place, it has jogging track, basketball court, soccer field, etc.
and also, it's free.

Cool place for hangin' out with some mates, there are very famous porridge which is chicken porridge available only in the morning. It's necessary after some small exercise like jogging, easy gymnastic, and some kind exercise like that. I think it's place for waste your time.

Blang padang has a jogging track around, food stall, basket ball court, kids playground, and it is also one of the place that held a concert, religious syiar, events and specially at the weekend, it has like a weekly market that offer you mens and womens outfit, and some other stuff.

Blang padang is an alun-alun for kota banda aceh. The have 2-3 wide areas cover by beautiful green grass, one is used as footbal field, others are used as family picnic ground. There are jogging track and I think 1 km for a lap. It very huge. Also there are a lot of culinary stands whether finger food and main food. It is perfect for family to have short recretional or get work out. Blang padang also is near to mesjid baiturrahman dan museum tsunami

This park is very large and has multifunctions.
There is a good concrete jogging track around it but at times abused by motorcycles.
There are 2 monuments at the south-west corner.
A plane and tsunami 2004.
On 5th Oct 2017, TNI 72nd anniversary is celebrated here.
Since the 3rd of Oct there are many food stalls, games for children, clothing sale etc going on.

The only large park in town. Nice to sit and have picnic under the shades of trees. Many activities for kids (playing kites, bubbles, etc). Super crowded on sunday morning, packed with pop-up markets, food vendors, and exhibition booth (cars, mobile phone, etc you name it). Nice to go on working days, early morning, late afternoon, or in the evening.

I visited this place last weekend on Sunday.
I came with dear Amanda, and met with dr. Maisya (and her husband and little daughter).
This is a really big place just like a weekend market.
There are so many stalls for shopping and for eating.
We tried so many foods and we choose one place to sit down and enjoy our Sunday morning.
There are also so many people exercise in the park.
I think this is a very nice place to visit in the weekend for some leisure moment and fun.
The parking fare is for each motorbike for 2,000 rupiah per time.
This place is very close to the grand Mosque.
