Super great place to spent several days for diving. A great crew and beautiful dive spot here. And don't forget, it's very cheap. Nice.

I only had accommodation, no diving (4 days). It is simple, but with cosy layout and design. Clean and to a good rate. Atmosphere is laid back, barefoot style.
Great terrace over the beach. They serve simple meals and beers. To use the beach (Bara Beach), you must obey flood and low tide. The nicer spots are reachable at noon. The light colored sandy beach may be not a dream but very nice in low season. If you choose your spot carefully, there is natural shadow.

The camp and the bungalows are ok, when you're are ok with shared bathrooms and construction noise in the morning by the workers in the camp. But we had some trouble with the diving.
I made my open water course and after my last day the dive instructor left the camp without giving me my certification or at least any information when she'll be back. So we where waiting and waiting without knowing anything, but wanted to travel on. The Divemaster also left after two days.
We had to stay in Bira for the rest of our vacation, waiting for my certification and at the end I made my open water again with another dive center. (Mangga Lodge). That ruined my vacation somehow :-/
At the end the dive camp even wanted to charge me for the course, although I didn't had anything. The also wanted to charge for more days, then we actually stayed there.

At least Bira itself is a nice place to stay, but I wouldn't recommend the Bira dive camp to anyone. When you're a little bit experienced diver go to Rahman (Warung Bamboo, Bira). He offers great dive tours for less money then the dive camp.
When you want to make your diving certification you can do it with the Mangga Lodge (PADI), also for less money then the dive camp.

Went there for lunch, which was good. Super relaxed place, and them selling Magnum ice cream is another plus. Bungalows looked very simple from the outside, but also in a nice setting.

Increíble terraza sobre la playa, alojamiento austero pero aceptable, bien de precio sobre todo si quieres bucear
