It's located beside Musi river in the same area with Ampera Convention Center. I thought the visitor could enter the fort but I guess not. Well this building is one of the icon of Palembang you should visit to get PALEMBANG word as your photo background

I don't know why this site can be one of the Palembang historical building bcoz I can enter the site freely. It's already being a military base there. So this place should be remove from historical site.

The Great Town Fort as many palembangnese call it Benteng Kuto Besak or BKB is a historical tourism in Palembang, South Sumatra.
Many tourist from other country stayed in Palembang wanna look that. The Great Contruction from Netherland determain are one of proudly us to tell 'bout how to destroyed enemy such Netherland and Japan from Sriwijaya Land.
As long as in this place you can see atraction from Palembangnese to show traditional culture such Gending Sriwijaya Dance, Dul Muluk Comedy, etc. And if you run away at BKB you can see Belido Monument and then you can tasting a traditional food like Pempek ( Fishball ), Tekwan ( Soup Fishball ), Model ( Soup Fishball With Tofu ), Celor Mie ( Shrimp Soup Mie ), Patin Pindang as a traditional food, and many others.
Then i just said to you all, Palembang is a great citizen. Clean, Secure, Wonderful, and Joyfull for you to staying in Palembang.

looks big from outside. used for some kind of military base. no civilians can freely enter the site.
