Ancol is still one of the place where most people go bringing their family & children during holiday. The beach pool now is becoming horrible during holiday. It will took you more than 1hour to exit the area.

Advise: avoid during holiday seasons.

Personally and in y opinion this beach is not recommend for swimming because the water is not so clean. Just good for relax, enjoy the sea and wind and walking around. This place mostly crowded during weekend, school holiday, new year or national holiday.

Welp, where do I start? This is actually a great spot. Everyday before dawn you'll see people swimming for medicinal purpose. You have to know they're people with limited abilities. Some of them are on wheelchairs! This place is really unfriendly for disabled people with wheelchairs. You should have paved part nearby the water for this purpose. Then, make an accessible restroom/changing room for wheelchairs. You actually had one each in female & male changing room but whoa, you either need more cleaning service crew or build more of these important room. The shower in the sand is actually dangerous place for having to step inside of them. The outside are higher & made of rough, that's a huge hazard! Just recently my uncle fell and almost bust his head open. Really close, like two inches more and we're gonna have to stich his head. Yep, he's the reason I insist this place to be morw accessible to wheelchair. If you're still going to ridiculously charging us for entering a public beach before butt crack of dawn, you better make it decent. I will change this review once the entrance fee is worth the experience.

It's beach, who doesn't love beach? Especially the breeze in the evening. The restaurant, live music and food are what I enjoy the most. But the cleanliness is the lowest.

Good place to swim or spend time with family. Free floor mat provided. There is restaurants in the middle of the sea. Good place for dating or sightseeing. Hunting photos are recommend especially when sunset or sunrise. 24 hours places. Usually when the sun come down. There is dance together lead by the stuff to end the day.

It has wifi, loads of sand to build sandcastle, clean public shower and toilets, and picnic ground. You can borrow picnic mat for free (banana boat, jet ski, and water playhouse is available, but these are not free). On weekends, it has jet ski show and fitness instructor that will ask all visitors to get up and move around with the music. The Beach Pool is free, but you have to pay for Ancol complex entrance, and the food stalls and restaurants near the Beach Pool are pricier -so bring your own food if you can. Just remember to clean afterwards. Yes, they have lots of trash bins, too.

to crowd, and to small,. thats why they named it 'pool'. the water kinda dirty and smells not good.. less attention given by whoever in charge around here.. the toilet and washing-room was terrible.. and as a public area, too many people smoking freely without any hesitation,. and the sand was clearly brought from somewhere else :)

This is a popular beach in Jakarta. If we visit Jakarta, then this is the only recommended beach to visit. Quite nice to my review. Crowded during weekend, ok during workdays. Several boat services offered around here, we can bargain for the rate of services to go around the sea using the boat.

Over Priced, The water is polluted, Need Something to Clean the Water. The current water needed to be test at Labs to measure the pollution index. The Regulator must limited and inform the visitor when Ancol is reached its capacity. You dont want to pay tickets to enjoy Traffic inside Ancol.

Don't go to the beach here, specialy on weekend. No place to park your car, crowded with people, dirty sea water. Its ok if you just want to walk around and enjoy the sunset, its got a good view. But to play here, I rather not

Maybe it's because I'm used to my beautiful French beaches, but I found the Ancol beach very bad. We planned to come here to relax, plunge our feet in the water, and read quietly while lying on the sand. Well, expect nothing of all that! We were horrified by the color of the water. Black! And there are trash everywhere, in the sand, in the water, in the grass nearby Don't expect calm neither, as there are loudspeakers with music all the time. Finally, it's so crowded that you will be lucky to find a place in the shadow.
You can pass this place and try the other attractions in the area instead.

Nice spot in the Ancol dreamland. The wooden bridge circling the 'pool' normally full with people walk, jog or just taking pictures. Some of the fishermen also harboured their small wooden boat and offer their fresh catch fish, shrimps or squids to the crowd.
