The locals are really friendly. Love to eat food here before and after Rinjani hiking.

4 tahun saja begitu banyak perubahan yg terjadi. Hotel2 telah berdiri angkuh. Lahan warga beralih kepemilikan.. Profesi petani terancam krn semakin berkurang lahan yg dimiliki.. Selain profesi sbg porter menawarkan uang cash yg lbh tinggi dr buruh tani.

It's better to start hike rinjani from here and then go to the top of rinjani, next continue to segara anak lake and down to senaru

Basecamp Sembalun is one of the camping sites before the summit attack. The easiest route to go to top of Rinjani is to go through Sembalun, and then go down to Segara Anakan Lake and go down via Plawangan Senaru.
