  Bandara Udara Matahora memiliki terminal baru yang modern. Saat ini (Oktober 2016) hanya dilayani oleh Penerbangan Wings Air (dengan ATR 72/600) dari dan ke Kendari.
  
  Bandara ini merupakan pintu masuk udara utama ke Kabupaten Kepulauan Wakatobi, salah satu surga dunia bawah laut di Indonesia
