This airport caters for local and international flight. Getting around to and from the airport will not be much of a problem as taxi and bus services are provided here. For online e-hailing taxi service, drop off should not be a problem for you. Picking up at the airport by online taxi operators are not allowed as per local authority regulations. However, the choice is yours to be made.

Presently, the main road leading to the airport is still in bad condition as the LRT project linking the airport to the Jakabaring Stadium is still under construction and nearing completion. In case you wish to catch up with your flight, make sure you leave early to avoid being caught in a traffic snarl all the way to the airport and taking into consideration that the road conditions is still unpleasant for you to have a smooth ride to the airport and vise versa.

this airport is corwded nowadays, i see many renovation to welcome sea games

☑️ waiting room is confortable
☑️ many choice of food in waiting room such as AW startbucks, aw is my fav
☑️ there are many charging station

🚫 the queue is still not short
🚫 only 1 staff in one gate its make the queue longer
🚫 many building is still in renovation and bot ready yet
🚫 this international airport is rather small than kualanamu or sorkarno hatta

This is Palembang International Airport. The upgrade construction still on progress. It prepare for Asian Games 2018. It is clean and big airport like other international airport in Indonesia. Not so many staff appear to help visitor when they need information. You can find food and coffee in the waiting room

New Airport Building of Palembang. Modern, Clean, & very friendly staff. Cozy and a lot of lounges & great coffee shops.. Starbucks, Coffee Bean, and even souveneer shops. LRT station will be launch soon to bring passangers to the city centers, or even accross Palembang & Jakabaring Sport City

I'm quite disappointed with this airport,because they nearly wanted to take my makeup and skincare set. They thought that i want to sell it bcs all of it looks similar. In fact i've told them that these are my complete skin cares( essence, toner, moisturizer, oil, mask, gel cream) and it looks similar bcs it is in 1 brand. But, they seems like do not understand. And about my makeup, i also have explained that girl's makeup is very many, but they didn't undestand

One of the airports in Indonesia which has massive improvement from time to time
Well, it's because this city of Palembang for the past recent years always participate in international event which put them to maintain this and improve this facility
One thing I noticed that there is no bus to the city and the light train is still in progress, so perhaps in the near future there will be more option of public transport from the airport

This is the best international airport in South Sumatera. The airport is medium-sized and located far from the city center. Passengers can access it through public transportation such as taxis and Trans Musi. It is currently working on the LRT project that connects the airport with the city to Jakabaring Sports Center. It is the first airport in Indonesia that has LRT. This airport becomes the gateway of Palembang city and very busy when there is international event in this city.

Clean and cozy airport albeit the size is smaller than Jakarta's airport. Comfortable waiting room equipped with restroom and wifi. Lounge is also available within the waiting room.

Airport staff is okay but the airlines gate staff is not helpful. There also no "schedule information screen" in the waiting room. So I need to carefully listen to ALL announcements

I was at this little airport to fly to Singapore. According to Indonesian standards, the airport is mostly nice organised. Many staff-members are helpful and friendly.

I was disappointed by the fact that I could not find any restaurant or cafe (in a country with has little restaurants on every street corner!).
Eventually I was rather bored by the permanent repeating Indonesian background music.

If this airport is your destination, please be prepared on several offers of taxi-drivers and their helpers. You might want to ask specifically for a taxi with a meter!
Unfortunately at the moment taxi's are the only public transport to and from the city. By 2018 there will be the light rail connection: Palembang LRT. This will probably facilitate reliable, fast and cheap public transport to the city center and many hotels.

Need to relayout departed gate, only 2 security gates available, which creates long queuing. Waiting room has already crowded. They have one executive lounge and starbucks in the waiting room.

Nice airport! Very useful wifi. Need foodcourt or cheaper restaurant while wait for boarding. It should be make the new terminal for serving asian games 2018.
