nice place for private dining since it got rooms for 6-8 ppl. Food is mainly tasty but expensive, understood that its mainly for the place. Yakiudon and the shabu2 was the highlight

Fine dine Japanese resto at the basement of Gran Mahakam hotel.

A bit intimidating. And exorbitant price. Aoki is an expensive Japanese resto. They have some private rooms, tatami style or seated. Menu is typically kaiseki haute cuisine which would justify the price. Order the chawan mushi which is served with caviar, taste good. Tofu with jakko (ikan bilis) is tamed, as it should. Cube cut Wagyu is great. Grilled salmon as well. The dessert is coffee jelly. Service is good. The place is black and cold.
