  Amazing scenery, at least 8 hours for amateur hiker to reach from Putri Basecamp.
  Recommended to bring wind and water proof jacket. Approximately 2.760 m above the sea.
  This place could hold at least 5000 peoples. If you walk to Eastern area you could find small river for water supply.
  In the path from Putri you could find several coffee maker and some food supplies.
  You could find some telephone signal if you go to the western part near the cliff. Of course if your carrier is Telkomsel.

  A quick escape from Jakarta. I really recommend everyone to at least visit Mount Gede once in their life, settle a camp between blooming Anaphalis Javanica plants at Alun-Alun Surya Kencana, catch a mesmerising sunrise at the summit of Mount Gede, and go back home with refreshed mind. There are 3 different routes to reach Alun-Alun Surya Kencana of Mount Gede: via Cibodas, via Gunung Putri, and via Salabintana. I highly recommend taking the Putri track cause it's faster than the other two to get here.

  Actually a very beautiful valley on the back of Mt. Gede. Windy. But campers litter everywhere.
