Airlangga University (Indonesian: Universitas Airlangga; Javanese: ꦈꦤꦶꦮ꦳ꦼꦂꦱꦶꦠꦱ꧀ꦄꦲꦶꦂꦭꦁꦒ, abbreviated as Unair or UA) is the second-oldest university in Indonesia and also a public university located in Surabaya, East Java. Despite being officially established by Indonesian Government Regulation in 1954, Universitas Airlangga was first founded in 1948 as a distant branch of the University of Indonesia, with roots dating back to 1913. It started with a medical school and school of dentistry. Now Universitas Airlangga hosts 15 faculties with more than 35,000 students (during the 2015-2016 academic year) and 1,570 faculty members. Universitas Airlangga has university hospitals for the faculties of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Nursing, and Dentistry, as well as a tropical infection hospital for its Institute of Tropical Disease. The university is also equipped with biosafety level three facilities.

Airlangga University's Medicine program is the best in Jawa Timur Province. Top profs and well-trained TAs for the most part. People complain about the social scene (or lack thereof) but I enjoyed the atmosphere actually. No annoying rowdyness or contrived party culture. Beautiful campus. I am now doing my M.D. at a different uni, and realize how high quality Unair is. I wish I had applied for my M.D. at Unair. The only downside of Unair is the excessive pandering to "diversity."
It is awesome to be able to take classes on all 2 campuses. I miss Unair!

This is campus B of Universitas Airlangga. It has library and faculties (such as pharmacy, economic and business, social and politic, law, language and humanities, psycology, and vocational). It also has language center and airlangga souvenir center there. But, it's hard for you to find car parking place when in lecture time.

Unair has 3 different spots in Surabaya, they are Campus A, Campus B and Campus C. This is campus B, there are faculties of economics, politics and other social science here. If you mention medical study, dentistry, etc you referred to campus A, which is located in a few hundred meters from campus B, or on the other side of the hospital that you said. Don't confuse the other people by reviewing the wrong place even if it comes from the same institution.

One of the best university in Surabaya. It's very regrettable that the parking space is very limited. Freshman are suggested not to bring their own car.
