999 might not be what it was in its heyday, but it's still a great place for a casual beer and a bite to eat.
Compared to other places I've been in Kupang the prices are more than reasonable, and the staff are great also.
Most nights I've been there they have live music, but not overly loud so you can still sit at the bar and chat.
Oh, and one more thing, its the only place I've found also far where the AFL on TV!
All in all very worthwhile dropping in for a quiet beer any evening or afternoon. Except Sunday, it's closed then

Hmm. The food was okay.. But this place wasn't clean or tidy and it had an old billiard table amidst the room (which was disgusting). This is an open place, so don't go when the weather isn't nice (rain, heavy wind, etc).

Great customer service, delicious food, beautiful view of the bay! The restaurant is located on the water with a great atmosphere. They also have a pool table and live music on weekend nights. The owner is super friendly and speaks English well too. It's a chill place to hang on weekday nights or weekends and it's right in downtown Kupang as well with night shops and the night market on the same street.

“Beach resto with a view”
Beach side hang out in down town Kupang, overlooking the bay. Music week ends. Nice for hanging out for a beer or soft drink, with a pool table for those who want to play. Nice food, my favourites are the local dish Daging Se’i, and the Sapu Tahu. Good internet connection on free wi-fi. Relaxed place to meet friends.
