Precisely reconstructed cottages with displays of contemporary professions from various regions of Hungary. Always fun!
The only thing I have to say about this visit was everyone should do it just phenomenal
Needs a whole day see the history of Hungary and how people lived through the recent centuries fascinating was a 33c day if going in the summer take plenty of water catch the bus from Szentendre Hev train station no. 6
We arrived 3.30pm on a Sunday. Everything was packed up already. Noone was around to explain us what to do or what we see. Non of the activities were available except the leather breading (gentleman was really nice and helpful) but when we went to see other's they said they are closed already or no one was around. When we went back to the till to get our money back, that was closed already too! If a place is advertised that is open and fully functional till 5pm I expect it to be the case. It would have been a lovely afternoon if they don't close early and if staff is around!
We looked at your web page one hour before leaving. It made no mention of the fact that half the park was closed due to a corporate event. We were visiting from Texas and had limited time, so we decided to enter anyway. We were surprised to have been charged full price and then we realized we had been charged an extra entry fee as well.
The sections we were able to see were interesting.
Very interesting place, lots of authentic exhibits
An interesting place with great atmosphere to have fun, relax and learn about the past.
Love it! You can spend a whole day walking around, the air is very fresh and clean, and the houses are more than interesting! During the annual events you can also experience village life first-hand, and taste artisan products. I go a few times every year and it is always a pleasant day :). It is a really good family program, there are playgrounds and a small zoo as well.
Great park. Great setting. We spent about 1.5 hours here and were barely able to see half of the park. If you got some spare time during your Budapest trip, this is really worth the visit!
One of the most beautiful open air museum, which I have visited. What a pity that employees access ruined my good impression. Almost no one spoke English or German. It was impossible to communicate here. Missing sheet in a foreign language. It could not pay by credit card. When foreigners asked how they pay, employees told them that it is their problem. I will not come back to this place in the future.
