Lunch menu is cheap and very nicely served. Varies depending on the week. Mango lassi was a little bit runny but okay.

Being an Indian, I never expected such a low quality Indian food from this restaurant. The waiter or the chef does not even deserve a rating. My suggestion is don't waste your time and money.

Absolutely delicious Indian food and helpful staff. I was craving for shammi kebab which they did not have on the menu, but the lamb seekh kebab I got instead more than lived up to my expectations. The breads they do are simply beyond description. Highly recommended.

We were starving for Indian food, somebody recommended Shalimar. Food was so amazing. Very tasty.
Somebody wrote that portion was very small, we don't think so, we had enough and still it was left.
Somebody has written about long waiting time, that s true, or take 20 minutes. But wait is worth.
They serve fresh food, it take time to prepare delecious food.response / report this review -

Go there if you have infinite amount of time. I went there four times. Three of the times, I experienced the slowest of services I have ever experienced on the planet and in the exceptional case, the food was bitter cold. On a positive note, the food was tasty(when they take time), but this is overshadowed by the slow service. I will not recommend this place to anybody.

I have to say, one of the worst services on the planet. Sat down and ordered around 2pm. Did not get the food for over an hour. And restaurant staff decided to serve every other customer that walked in after us much later, like an hot later first. Decided to not bother with serving tap water, and then seat us in the corner under the AC, when all the air conditioners do not work. It's basically an over priced, horrible tasting bad service, push cart with the pilot having no idea what a push cart even is. If any recommendations for future reference. Run for your life. If rather starve to death than revisit the place

Excellent food, you can find something for each taste. My husband loves their super hot curry, we come over and over to have that or some courses baked in their tandoor oven. After a delicious main course you should try kulfi (home made ice cream with seeds) with mango sauce!

Great Indian food in the middle of Budapest. All the dishes I have ever tried here are delightful, the restaurant is spacious and the chairs are comfortable. Not cheap, but fair and affordable prices. Service is quick and neat. What I missed is to have some plants around since the area itself is very gray.

The waiting time is ridiculous (30 mins for the daily menu) but it's really worth it. The meals taste as if they were delivered directly from heaven. I love it, bigly. ☺

Service at this place is really really terrible. Even by Hungarian standards. Waiter never came back to check on us and forgot one of our orders. He charged us for it as well! I even overheard the table next to us telling the same waiter that he also forgot one of their orders too. Also, we asked the waiter for Palak Paneer, the guy had no idea what that was. Prices at this place are not good as well and the decor looks very worn. I've been here three times and it was the same deal. I'm done with this place. Food is decent at best but there are MUCH better options for Indian food within a block radius.

Not a stylish place but if you like real Indian flavours and scents for acceptable prices this is the best place in Budapest for you.
