Unfriendly service is offered here. Otherwise, the food was absolutely delicious. Loved the traditional goulash soup, duck legs and Budapest steak style.

This place is a must if staying in Budapest – it was such a revelation: in the middle of a small alley, a place with excellent food, excellent service and good selection of traditional Hungarian food.

Try the Béla és Bandi Pinot Gris. The duck is spetacular, also, crispy and soft. One more thanks for this kind staff.

Figyelmes pincerek, kivalo minosegu borvalasztek,ar ertek aranyban egy igen jo valasztas. Kettesben talan a legjobb dontes a ruben,mert hangulatos,csendes,igenyes. Nagyszeruen foznek,de picit keveset.

Ruben offers cheap (870 HUF) three-course meals consisting of traditional Hungarian dishes. Due to the wallet-friendly prices, it is rather busy during lunch hours, so hurry up and grab a table!

Ruben is home to one of downtown's best lunches. Ask about their "Extra menüs". If you're up for cholent, the Jewish lunch special is a must, and their house red is a perfect match. Read our review.
