The only good think about this hotel is the central position. Everything else is very very bad, towels full with hair, old sheets, dirty room and a shower that you are afraid to use. And the personal is very offended that you don't speak hungarian language.

I have spent 2 nights at this hotel. While it was a quite pleasant stay, I was surprised to see so much old and rusty things around. Some of them contributed to a positive side of experience - history, culture and insides on life of people. The rest was just careless hosting. Overall I enjoyed my stay, breakfast was full of different things, traditional as well as standart and interior was full of art.

Nice hotel in Budapest. It's good for budget accommodation. The food in the canteen is good. Nearby there are food stores and post office. It's close to the center.

Upon arrival, after checking in, we were told there was a problem with the AC in the whole hotel. And were offered a beer as compensation. The young man at the reception was very nice and polite, he was just following instructions. We asked for a portable fan instead; and he brought one to the room within two minutes.

Then, in the room, apart from crack and dent in the bathroom door, there was no Hands Free Shower, unless you are seven feet tall (see pictures). Amazing how a place can skimp on something so cheap as a proper holder for a shower head; and completely lose future bookings.

This hotel is showing its agecarpet in our room was dirty and stained but is a straightforward hotel you get what you paid for on the plus side has free Wi-fi, parking and breakfast
It will be nice if they make some improvements because it will become a better and beautiful place to stay

Room was okay (just okay), but several drawbacks were there:
1. The water-pipe installed in the toilet was block!
2. No kettle was provided!
3. The staff was not well trained; I went down to the reception to refill hot water but the water bottle was empty. Then I asked the staff who was in charge on 24/12/2016 at 9:30 pm (Saturday), then this staff told me that he does not know how he can do then ask me to wait until next morningwhat's the such stupid answer? no kettle is fine but no hot water provide to the customer? are you kidding me?
4. The reception of the hotel always be little bit dark, feels like something wrong when first get in to the hotel
5. The sound insulation was bad, have to be luck if you want to have a quite night

Good price to features ratio. This hotel was beautiful, once upon a time, but needs some renovations since then. But the location is good and the price makes you forget all the cons.

We stayed at this hotel on Aug 2014. This is a very nice hotel. Located not so far from the Hop-On-Hop-Off city bus tour route. Also is 10-15 min walking time from the city center and 20-25 min from the Danube river. The staff was very helpful and nice. No AC. Old fashion design and style. Good price.
