We visited in November. Beautiful zoo with a lot for variety. Even in the colder months there is much to see. Affordable ticket costs. Restaurants and coffee shacks throughout. You can get much much closer to some of the animals than what you might normally in the United States which was amazing. I'll bet it's super beautiful in the spring and summer time. I especially enjoyed their emus, they had quite the personalities. :^)

A very beautiful Zoo Garden. I recommend it for kids and even for adults. It is a wonderful quiet place in the middle of Budapest. A big variety of animals. I was very impressed by gorillas and elephants. You can stay at two meters away of the huge elephant. It is a wonderful feeling.

I can hardly wait to come return.

Really good zoo and definitely worth a visit when you're in Budapest. We saw an amazing sea-lion display and go so so close to Rhinos and Giraffes. Sadly we went right at the end of the day and ran out of time to fully enjoy everything. Do not believe google saying 45mins.you need double that!

Really enjoyed my time in the zoo! So many animals and different plants. You gonna spend all day there because the territory is big and so much to see. You can also come and see animals during the feeding and even try to feed some of them. There are also some food places so you will be not hungry during the day. Many attractions for kids are also available. You gonna have a lot of fun!

This is a perfect place to spend a weekend day with friends or family. It's a beautiful and outstanding zoo, definitely must see. Be careful with the closing hours, it stops working at 17:30 and you'll have 30 minutes to leave it, until 18:00.

Some animals are just missing, but the ones that are here are awesome, very close by and very well treated. There are various food and snack spots and a fine kids area.

Good day out and much bigger than expected. We walked quite quickly and only managed to get round in 4 hours! I agree with others that many enclosures are not adequate however - though most animals looked happy and were playing etc. Hopefully there are plans to update the zoo in the future.

Amazing place with so many different animals! Much better than I expected and a reasonable price. It could do with a bit of TLC but I suppose we go to see the animals not the buildings.

Prepare to spend here at least 5 hours walking if you plan to see every animal and plant that inhabits the place. The zoo is old, but well-kept. Opening hours are shorter in the winter, and progressively longer peaking in the summer, when most of the animals are in the open. There are daily animal shows and interesting facts about animals. Recommended for any age, especially for children.
