I was here during a business trip and needed to lend a towel which they didn't had. Only for sale. In a wellness and spa hotel!!
We left directly and had even to pay for 10 minutes parking. Just a joke.
The renovations have made this classic Hungarian thermal bath more spiffy than when I bathed there 15 years ago, but the wonderful healing water that makes it so special is the same as always, of course. The staff are friendly and helpful, the services varied, and an afternoon entry ticket 1600 HUF, making it a third of the price of a trip to Szechényi in Budapest. If you're a foreigner staying in Hungary for a period and wanting an opportunity to treat a rheumatological problem with multiple trips to the baths, it's much less cost-prohibitive here than in the capital. The clothing-free (mixed sexes) space of "Sauna World" is pleasant, available for an extra charge.
The facities are ok (aqua Parker, saunas area, thermal water area)- could be better. Every entrence has a different price. Aquaticum has been around for St least 8-9 years and this is something You see
Great hotel, nice rooms, very nice waterpark inside, with indoors pools, part of them heated, outdoor terapeutic pools. Good food, the children enjoyed it most! It's in the middle of the forest, where you can find lots of activities and restaurants
Nice hotel in nice park. Hotel is well equiped (aquapark, fitnes, kids corner). Staff speak also english language and some of them also slovak language. But there was one thing that made me angry and that is internet connection. For this kind of hotel with that standart, is shame that they have so slow internet connection. It was useless
The hotel is nice. However it was very strange that they couldn't give me an iron to iron a shirt urgently and i had to pay a maid to do it and wait This might be normal in Hungary but it find it strange and away of just extracting cash out of a customer.
Very nice food, extremely polite and amazing staff. The room was clean and big enough for us. Free wifi. Parking for a fee
We (family of 4, boys aged 11 and 13) visited in mid February which seemed to be a low season. The initial information we got at the reception desk at our arrival was rushed and also incomplete. The apartment ("Deluxe" category) was okay. Small flat TV with very limited functionality, really crappy system, content and remote. Morning cleaning service was just for the show, no vacuuming, beds not done - very unsatisfactory. We only got 2 bathrobes for the 4 of us. Drinks were very pricy, with extra service fee added automatically. Heating was noisy. Food selection mediocre nut not bad. Would I recommend? Not necessarily. There are better options out there in the geothermal bath + hotel category.
The hotel stay was brilliant. The room was spacious and light, also equipped with almost everything you need. Unfortunately they cannot provide or give iron and ironing boards, as the hotel is wooden structure, but this was not a major issue. The hotel staff was very helpful and polite from room maintenance to catering.
The food both for dinner and breakfast covered a wide range. While some of the meals looked plain, all together all meals were very tasty and we'll prepared.
I would recommend the hotel to anyone. Need to mention however I would rate the Mediterranean Pool Area mediocre only, where I mainly have safety concerns, mostly due to design. This includes the very steep pedestrian bridge, the really slippery surfaces and the incompetence (or ignorance) of pool staff.
