  The hospital is beautiful, fully equipped, and not expensive but the staff are mostly apethetic and are in no hurry to care for the sick. If the patient has money and someone to advocate they will get adequate care eventually. If not, the patient will die needlessly. It is the most advanced hospital in the area, serving many surrounding towns, but the locals are extremely wary/scared of being sent there and prefer to go to Port-au-Prince despite the extra cost.

  L’Hôpital Saint-Michel est un grand établissement a Jacmel qui desservit tout le département du Sud-Est en Haiti. Tous les services sont bien équipés et le personnel est qualifié
