It's a nice one, probably one of my favorites in Haiti.
It's really big and it has a soccer field and a basketball court as well.
I enjoyed the room service and the people who entertained me as well.
They do yoga and water aerobics.
The food is delicious.

I book in July after my booking i email them to change my date no one answer so i call after three day’s calling i reach someone i told them that i have email them no answer can they disregard my email i want to keep my original days .. they agree everything was ok till one week before my traveling day they still had the date from the email I spoke to Alex she was very nice and understanding she went back and list to the cal(the record when i call) and she agreed that I was right that they agreed to keep my original day’s she told me the team said don’t worry when I get to Haiti they fix it to six days which is my original day’s. When I got to Haiti the first question I asked was it was supposed to be six days instead of four the man said he can’t do nothing about it that’s what’s
In the computer I ask him to contact Alex from the supporting team, he told me the supporting team is very big . So I decided to call no answer I email I didn’t get an answer till the last day that I was supposed to go so I end up spending four days instead of six days I have nowhere else to go I had to call my brother to send me money so I can book another hotel. One thing I Regret is not recording the Conversation.I love there but that was an very bad experience. I reach out after the experience no one got back 2 me. But other than that The place is beautiful the people are very nice and welcoming and them i went there was no activity nothing.response / report this review -

Only 2* because there aren't many safe places where you can relax, not cook and have cold drinks at the beach.
On the negative side, almost all: beach very dirty and a lot of rocks. Staff extremely tired and demonstrating it when asked for the smallest thing (even put food on the plate which is their task). Facilities are rusting, looking more like some haunted place than a nice hotel. Also, plastic cups everywhere, including inside the pool.
Will not come again and in general - don't recommend to anyone.response / report this review -

This beach is amazingly beautiful, and huge in terms of spread and also choice of entertainment spread across the resort.
Then there’s the different array of food plus drinks all captured in your booking reservation that allows you access to eat as much as you want at the buffet and as well as the well stocked open bar.

I was here in May 2021 for my cousin's wedding and had a blast. Check in was fine- although my sister and I had originally booked for king rooms, we had a double bed room with views of the beach, which we can't complain about. We noticed we needed an iron for our dresses and the attendant was quick to get that for us. There were times when we did not have hot water and my cousin explained it to me but I didn't mind. I've taken cold showers in the mountain in Thailand. Food was delicious and so were the drinks. Everyone was nice and warm. We chopped it up with the local fisherman and wound up talking to them for about an hour. All in all, for my first trip to Haiti, I had a blast and definitely returning back in the future.

Whether you enjoy Decameron has a lot to do with personal preference on vacation. I found the food to be above average for an all-inclusive resort. (Compared to others I've been to in Mexico and DR) The restaurant food is especially excellent. I think the bartenders only have 3 kinds of alcohol to work with, so if you like rum punch, you'll be happy. There's complimentary snorkel equipment that's in good shape and there are lots of fish to see. The beach is not crowded, but you have to get up early to get a chair. The rooms are TINY but clean and they all face the ocean.
The reason why I rated this resort a 3 star is because we went for peace and quiet and over the week we were there we just could not get away from the noise. They start the activities and loud music at 9am and it goes all day. Even if there is no one who wants to do the activities and everyone is telling them to turn it off, they won't because its their schedule. (Oh, and the song they play over and over again has an F bomb in the chorus) Sometimes there's quiet at one pool, but you have to know the exact right place to be at the right time to catch a rest. It took a week to figure out, and then we left. It is impossible to relax on the beach because the pool music is so loud it covers the entire resort. But some people like that kind of thing, so they won't mind. Personally, I was wanting to relax by the ocean and read a book, but no go.response / report this review -

Very nice resort right on the ocean. I attended a conference here - the rooms, food, pools and beach are all very nice and well kept. The meeting facilities are doableours was in an air conditioned tent (like you'd see at an outdoor wedding). I dropped one star for hospitality. The resort really needs to invest in some hospitality training with staff if they ever want to seriously compete with other options in Mexico & the Caribbean. That said, what you get for the price is pretty amazing.

All inclusive resort, food is excellent, staff is polite at the reception. They also offer massage and they have a show at night with dancers in costumes. The ground is well maintained, the gym is correct. There are two to three large pools,a convenient store and artists who sell their products (paintings, bracelets ) by the pool. the beach side is so beautiful specially at night. Decameron is one of the best vacation spot for anyone who come in Haiti.

Stayed here a few times while on mission trips. The hotel is much improved since decameron took over the management. It's safe. The food is good. Rooms are great. Staff are pleasant.

This is an all inclusive resort. What is the most impressive about it is that out of 400 rooms, 370 are ocean view with balconies. This resort is surrounded by a 55 hectare natural preserve. The Haitian Riviera has miles of clean unused white sand beach and turquoise water. A real unique gem, like no other resort in the Caribbean. The resort has 5 creole buffet restaurants and bars. Creole food is considered one of the most delicious food in the world. There is also a nightclub, several pools, volleyball, basketball, tennis, golf, soccer, archery, gym, spa, massage services, water sports, excursions, wifi, etc Most of the staff speaks Creole, French, English and Spanish.

The service is very good. The food is excellent. Bars are limited, but the island drinks they serve are very good. The entertainment is lacking, because it doesn't change much from night to night, but it's not bad to go see it for one night. You must reserve seats for the restaurant early. At 2pm each day, they do not accept any more reservations for that night. Beautiful clay tennis court; Clean beautifully maintained grounds, pools and spa; Adequate gym; Very nice beachside massage services. All in all, the best vacation spot in Haiti for vacationers looking for an all-inclusive, touristy feel.

Enjoyed two relaxing and indulgent days at this incredible resort! The food was really, VERY, good - a nice variety at each meal, and the staff were quick to refill foods on buffet, water at the table, etc. I suppose the rooms aren't a 5star rating and would be a 4, but the beautiful Haitian beach, the staff and the experiences offered make it a 5 all the way! Very Highly Recommend!

February 12-The same way I can write a review for dissatisfaction, I can tell how it was turned around to great customer service. Mr. Peter took it upon himself to call me to answer my questions, apologize for the attitude of his co-worker, and made sure his hotel is the one that I keep. Thank you Peter for the awesome service and I will see you soon. God Bless
February 12- I have not reached this hotel yet and heard great things, however my experience so far is not going so well. I want to book my reservation which I started with Peter who is tremendously helpful. I called back twice and a young lady name Cara or Clara has a rude attitude. Her attitude is unacceptable. I called to speak to Peter and trying to have my romance package to be set up a certain way for a belated Valentine's day (if I can)for my fiance. First, she could not understand which tells me her English is not that good. Then she raised her voice in a tone that made me raise mines and hung up on me. I called back and she had someone else to answer the phone. I normally don't right a review but to go from someone being so helpful to someone being so rude baffles me. Trying to understand the purpose of the attitude. Good customer service is universal and it goes along way especially with me and where I am spending my money. Second guessing if I want to take my friend advice to stay here now. I will have to make a decision soon.response / report this review -

For Haiti, it's the best. But that's not saying much. It is beautiful, the food is decent. It is noisy (the "Looky" people played music with the worst swear words - just not professional), it's almost impossible to find a nice, quiet place, my wife got food poisoning the first day (not even 1 apology), it took 2 days to get bath mats and hand towels, the bar service is slow beyond belief and there isn't even an option to pay for top-shelf drink (the bar has literally only 5 different rail liquors), when we spoke Creole with the chamber- maid staff, several began implying that we should take care of them (give money).
We'll go back (lack of options). But we will be more aware of what to expect.response / report this review -

The hotel itself is very ample. It has three buffet style restaurants three or four bars, two pools, and all sorts of activities all day. The beach is rocky and the water is warm and calm. The rooms were always well cleaned and the food was good. The juices they offer are not usually made in-house. The service was hit and miss; for example, we asked a waitress for a high-chair for instance and she simply gazed to the right and to the left and told us she didn't have one, so we had to go ask someone else who did diligently find us a high-chair. The same kind of scenario happened a couple more times but there was always someone else at hand that did show interest in helping out with joy. All in all i believe it is the most complete resort in Haiti and will definitely help in having a peaceful and relaxing holiday.

The buffet is delicious. Normally at buffets the food can be bland and flavorless, but that was not the case here. We also enjoyed the beach (although very rocky, so bring water shoes if you have soft feet) and the live entertainment featuring various Haitian traditions. The drinks were strong and the room was nice and cool. We did not take advantage of the excursions or water sports offered, but we may if we return. We did try the archery range which an instructor and group were present and we got to shoot a few plastic arrows at the target. The pools are nice but you may get told to dry off before going back and forth to the bar next to it for fear of people slipping. One critique was a rude bartender that would take my order then serve others who walked up after the fact. Another critique is it took two out of the three days we were there to get towels in our room despite telling the front desk staff the first day, towel service staff they asked us to call the first day, and housekeeping the next morning. We finally got towels when room service came by around 5pm the next evening. Most likely an isolated incident but make sure you have towels in your room and be persistent.

Beautiful resort and the foods are delicious. Many activities, After swimming and sunning, enjoy fresh creole seafood dishes like grilled lobster, conch/ lambi and fried plantains with a cold Prestige, the nation's beer. Everything is in $US even the shuttle service from and to the airport. Visit Haiti "La Perle des Antilles" you will have a great time.

I definitely enjoyed my stayed! I was an invited artist to teach at an international Konpa Music and Dance festival and had a blast at the resort. The scenery, the room (bath, bed and patio), the restaurants, the pool and beach, the gym. It was all very satisfying. It was a bigger blessing to have the Prime Minister of Tourism of Haiti take my dance class at the hotel. I'm definitely coming back to the hotel!

The first resort in Haiti. The place where you enjoy the best part of #Haiti. It's a good place. We have beach and 2 swimming pool. However into the room specifically the bath isn't as good as we hope and the wrap under the bed is not well. The service for food and drink are good. The agent wearing blue shirt and brown pant specially women aren't really collaborate.

Love the space the country and people. Great property and food was awesome fresh. Feed you from 7am to 2am. Huge pools, Spa, gym, message and speciality restaurant. Shows every night plus excursions too. Very clean and quiet at night with just the sounds of the ocean and crickets.

mmh PARADISE! Went there for my honeymoon. Very nice service. And when they say all included, it means all included! their all you can eat restaurant offer variant menus for breakfast, lunch and supper. You won't have enough stomach space to taste every each one of their plates. And their A la carte restaurant offers a romantic setting. Every night there are very exciting dance presentations. There's also a nice nightclub and bars throughout the resort. Loved it! will go back as often as possible.

Beautiful place and had the best treatment from the front desk (Syriaque was so sweet and helpful) to the bartenders (Othello named a drink after me!) The pool was great, not crowded. It's nestled between the beach and the mountains, so great views everywhere you turn. Food was awesome. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is bc it is not an adults only resort. Not digging seeing kids around while I party.

Stayed at Resort for 2 days the receptionist and check in process is by far the most difficult check-in I have ever had. The most discouraging part is the utter lack of empathy and customer service on their part.
After the tumultuous check-in we were helped to our rooms which were not spectacular but simple and clean. There we were able to unload from such the unwelcome reception.
Now, as far as grounds, the resort is on beautiful grounds and landscaping is breath taking. There is always a place for quiet time as well as a place to party and eat throughout the day. The food was amazing best resort food I have ever had.
Now as far as other services, it was a great stay from bartenders to food services, life guards and water activity staff was very nice and accommodating.
I would def go again but sure to put on my combat boots for check-in.

An amazing place, beautiful tidy, I've been there in 2012, I would definitely go back there.

I stayed at Royal Decameron Haiti for the last 8 days. The staff that tended to my friends and I were excellent! We loved them and it was bittersweet to leave them. However I am Haitian American and I understand the demeanor of my people. There face may not seem welcoming but they were attentive. There was not an iron and ironing board in each room, that deals with administration and not the workers. The FOOD however was DISAPPOINTING! I learned that Decameron Haiti is owned by a Colombian, I could tell it was not Haitian owned the food was not authentic Haitian food. This really turned me away from ever wanting to go back. I did not go to Haiti to eat everything except authentic Haitian food. If I am to ever visit Decameron Haiti again I would go for the treatment rendered by the staff. Otherwise I will go to Haitian owned establishments!!

Nice hotel majority of the rooms have ocean facing balcony. Two fresh water pools, beach is a bit rocky and the sea gets ruff and deep quickly in spots but water is warm and nice. Rooms are on the small size but very updated with TV and AC. There are no iron but there is a hair dryer. WiFi is ridiculously expensive in room but free in lobby. Entertainment is good, nice shows in the theater they are very professional presentation. Food I would give a 5 star awsome large verity of well prepared tasty food. And it's reasonable for the money for an all inclusive resort.

Nice property but too far away, get all the ammenities closer to Port-au-Prince. Tends to be overpriced, everything! is expensive here and adds up fast. AND they charge $75 per person for their shuttle service rip-off!

Wonderful beach, solid food, and nice Caribbean style lodging. Several reviewers have complained about the gate security, but they forget we aren't in Kansas anymore - the security guards are there for our safety. I was there with my wife and two pre-teen boys. All of us loved it. There are a few little rough areas like staffing of activity center to get towel or activities, but overall a great experience. Would definitely go back.
