At the beginning of every school year, each of our 550+ students gets a physical exam. Monthly student sponsorships of $70 make these exams possible, as well as provide two meals per day, school supplies, and school uniforms.

Meet Lovely, our nursing assistant at the clinic. She is also a student in our alternative program and wants to be a nurse when she finishes school.
Lovely's job at Respire gives her valuable experience in the nursing field that will help her when she completes her education.

Saturday night a magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck the northwest coast of Haiti. While a small tremor was felt, Gressier is safe and was not affected.

One of our goals at Respire Haiti is providing jobs to our local economy through employment at Respire and through microloans.
A strong local economy gives the community the resources to improve health care, housing, clean water, and disaster response just to name a few.

Mental health services are rare in Haiti. Many traumatic experiences that children can go through are typically never addressed.
Our mental health staff use a wide range of techniques and resources to help children and adults process what they have been through and develop coping skills that they can use for the rest of their lives.

When I knew In march I was going on a mission trip to Haiti , " miracle on voodoo mountain " was " required " reading from our team leader . So once we came to Haiti , it was a place we knew we wanted to see and experience . They were so gracious of their time to give us a wonderful tour and tell us more details about what the Lord is providing there at respire �. Once we got off the bus , children greeted us and we were all drawn even more to the work that Megan and josh are doing there . GOD Is there at Respire . I am excited to look into sponsoring a child so I can be a apart of that ��

I went to Respire Haiti with the intent to personally grow in my Chrisatian faith by applying the written word to my everyday actions. As a result I assumed that I could have an impact on someone there.
I was blown away how I was impacted through the experience. From the interns staff teachers and of course the children. The more I gave of myself the more I received. On my flight back I was filled with not only great memories but peace love and understanding of Respire Haiti.
It was truly an honor to serve here and I look forward to many more visits.
