Overpriced, subpar taste and they rip you off on the exchange rate. For a great penne in a cream sauce go to Karibe instead. It's not too far and will cost you 50% less.
Portofino is a nice restaurant but due to the lack of competition in PAP they think they can get away with anything.
One and done for me !

Best Italian restaurant in Haiti! Great wood-fired pizzas, seafood pasta, live music, large wine glasses and excellent service.
Try the ice-cream, very creamy or gelato options it's made local and sold around Port au Prince. Kids playground and eating area around the back. Nice inside and chilled "outside". Perfect for a date, group dinner, family gathering or just a late night or take-away pizza.

Really good quality food served here with good service. I keep coming back as this is the top restaurant in Haiti in my humble opinion. The atmosphere is a mix. Go inside for a more romantic option with dim lights or choose to stay closer to the entrance. The kids section is in the back. So parents with kids can relax in the back. I have only had good experiences from this place. Pizza is phenomenal here.. Go for it You wont be disappointed

Arguably the best pizza in P.V. Prices are comparable to the States. Air conditioned Indoor seating is available as well as an outdoor ventilated area. Lots of room in both. They have awesome selection of ice cream/gelato. Lots of flavors available in different formats. Great taste as well. Portofino is a good lunch and dinner spot. The area is well lit and security is not a big issue. Parking attendants wearing reflective vests are outside to help you park. Although not obligatory, you may give them a small tip after eating.
