Best Breakfast Buffet in Port-au-Prince!!!
The food is fresh especially the fruits. The breakfast buffet has fresh fruit juices, pastries, cold cuts for sandwiches, quality cheeses, cut fruits, a variety of yogurts Aside from eating in the breakfast hall, you can go out to the patio to enjoy your meal.
I spent two weeks at the hotel with my mother for vacation. I was extremely satisfied. The waiters were very nice and the environment was definitely a place of relaxation. The buffet was amazing. Even if it's raining, the party continuedcoming back again!
I visited this hotel, didn't stay overnight. The views are great. Casino is a decent size. Beautiful pool/outdoor area. Live music. Can't wait to stay a few days here!
View was fantastic and the room was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Couch and furniture was cushy and welcoming, enabling you to relax and enjoy the panoramic view, unlike the rock hard ones at the Venetian suites. Bed was great and bathroom was nicely appointed with extras like robes and lighted sit down makeup area. The maid service and all staff were 5 star. . .
Amazing time. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. The food is great and the service as well. No complaints.
This was the second time within 3 years for us staying at the NH haiti el Rancho. We were very satisfied except for 2 items which should be standard for a hotel of this category. 1) No pool towels by pool, towels must be requested at front desk and, if you are a group of 7 which we were, you are told that only 3 towels are left despite being no one else in the pool area?! 2) Having to beg for towels for the bathrooms. We had 2 rooms with 2 persons each and 2 rooms of 3 persons each. For 3 persons only two large bath towels were provided. Upon requesting one more for each of the triple rooms we were met with resistance and explanations why this would be difficult. I am from Haiti, I understand that a lot get stolen by staff members or maybe even guests. But, when I book a room in a 5 Hibiscus hotel, I do expect enough towels in the rooms and not having to plead for pool towels!!!!
Nice variety of food, welcoming atmosphere, and place for the kids at the same time. Prices are a bit on the up side, but all in all, love it.
The major problem was the concern was the pop music concert the second night of our stay. It was so loud that the band may as well have been in our room. Completely IMPOSSIBLE for anyone to get any sleep!!
Even so, it would have been okay had it ended at say midnight. But these people played until 4 o'clock in the morning!! This is insane! Who does this in a hotel, which last I checked is a place to, you know, sleep?
To the hotel itself, I was disappointed in the staff's total lack of interest in addressing this situation. They did not want to discuss it and no manager appeared either the next day or at checkout to propose options or remediation.
Needless to say, my family and I won't stay at either the El Rancho or elsewhere in the chain again. We won't bother to be somewhere so clearly indifferent to our presence.
Good day

I stay at the el ransho hotel i enjoy my stay i felt like i was on vecation , the food is great , great location , i love the i dea the had a casino !!
Accommodations are nice, beautiful grounds, comfortable and safe. There need to be a few updates to the room (small ones - additional space for clothing, more counter space in bathroom), also some of the staff can be little bit standoffish, cleaning crew/housekeeping were phenomenal. They also usually have some form of entertainment but also enough quiet time if needed. I would return.
Love pampering myself at this hotel. I never regret choosing to stay here. The service is unequaled anywhere else in Haiti - white gloves open the door before you even get a chance. The entire staff is exceptionally aware of service excellence. Plus the rooms and especially beds here are so lush I feel spoiled which is nice after a few days out and about in Haiti.
Great hotel. Love the pool area and friendly staff. Strongly recommend
Amazing place The fusion restaurant
I tried to write this review and someone else's name came up. This is written by Danielle W. not Lee Stewart. Well, well. Where do I start? I stayed at El Rancho for 5 nights, it was a hellish experience, no kidding. Don’t let yourself be fooled by the beautiful outward appearance of the hotel. First of all, they charge local Haitians almost twice the price they charge foreigners or traveling Haitians. That doesn’t make any sense at all. Second, they hike the price for their so-called executive room and there is not even a small refrigerator or microwave oven in the executive room. The shower is a safety hazard, there is no curtain or structure to keep the water from getting all over the floor when you take a shower. The toilet was a joke, we had to call a technician at 3:00am to take care of a water overflow. One night we were forbidden to use the facilities because of a Government event. Talking about being in prison. Let’s not mention the color scheme, the green doors give you the impression of being in a hospital or some cheap ghetto motel. Some of the staff tried to be kind, housekeeping and the Bell Boy were very responsive and friendly. Others were plain unprofessional and didn’t obviously care about accommodating their clients. As a professional, I’ve stayed at numerous hotels all over the world and I’ve never seen such lack of care for the customer in the hospitality industry. We had a minor issue with the credit card and they treated us like thieves ready to escape without paying. Unheard of!!! Also they had their security guard displaying their revolver to let us know that they’ll be ready to shoot if we try to leave. All this took place before checkout time. They insisted on having us pay upfront and that caused a host of problems. I ended up missing my flight and I had to pay the airline almost $600 for a new ticket and I incurred additional expenses to stay in the country so I can catch my flight the next day. Can you imagine ending a vacation on this note!!! If you want to have a peaceful and relaxing vacation, you definitely should avoid El Rancho. You may have seen some positive reviews but all it takes is one bad experience to ruin your vacation. STAY AWAY FROM EL RANCHO!!! THEY DON’T WANT TO WORK WITH THEIR CUSTOMERS.

pretentious and expensive hotel that doesn't meet its promise. If you are travelling for work or you don't want to have a high volume disco straight in your expensive room, don't stay here. I spent 200 USD for a room with view swimming pool and on weds they play music from 6pm til 11 pm so loud that one cannot rest or watch tv. When i called reception to ask for lowering the volume nothing at all was done. DO NOT STAY HERE
The hotel El Rancho the place we stayed in Haiti when we were doing thea ebassders home
