  A quiet supermarket with a great local vegetable selection. Friendly staff and always some new fruit that I've never tried before. The rest of the supermarket is decent enough with wine and pet food, not a lot of meat - not the full range you get at Giant or Caribbean but enough to make do.
  Marie Beliard bakery at the entrance means you never have to shop hungry. Quick parking, with a chemist and ATM inside also. Around the corner in the parking there is a homeward store hidden away and opposite is the newly opened CK hardware.

  I prefer to buy fresh produce in here than in the other large supermarkets in Pétion-Ville, such as Caribbean or Giant. There's a good variety of fruits and vegetables that you can choose one by one, all of them with a quite reasonable price. The people working here are very friendly and helpful as well.
  I didn't calculate precisely, buy I have the impression that the pantry items are a little bit cheaper if compared to the other supermarkets in the area.
  The butcher could be improved. I still prefer to buy fish, meat and poultry on the other supermarkets.
  Summarising, it's worth visiting Extra if you prefer to choose your fruits and vegetables. And choosing your veggies yourself you can end up using less packaging, giving a slight contribution to the cleanliness of the city.

  While their selection of imported goods is not as wide as Giant or the others and most things like rice and oil are more expensive, I prefer to buy produce here than any of the other supermarkets. You can pick your own produce, the quality and quantity and its reaonably prices compared to the prices in the marche, for the most part. Customer service is also good in my experience. It's also a much quieter supermarket than he others which is a positive.

  Possibly the crappiest "super market" in Pétion-Ville. Limited selection of candy and other products. The interior is not well lit compared to Giant and Carribean. In the past 2+ years of being opened I have never seen more than two cashiers at the register. Lots of parking available but this is mostly due to the lack of customers.
  
  I've witnessed multiple people walking out after waiting in line for 5 minutes waiting for the only cashier to finish with a client. One of the advantages of Extra is the Marie-Béliard bakery/pastry included at the entrance. All in all, if you're looking to do some actual grocery shopping go to the big two up the hill.
