Nonostante la chiesa sia a pagamento (quindi dovrebbe essere aperta dalla mattina fino al pomeriggio tardo) l'ho trovata chiusa.
Bello l'ambiente in cui è posta.
Quiet and relaxing. Good for hiding the sun.
Among the important monuments of the UNESCO town of Trogir also include St. samonstan. Dominic and his church. In 1304 the Dominican Order has purchased the site in the western part of the city where they set the foundation of a large church, which still exists today. It was built in two parts. First, at the end of XIII. st. (1280 - 1290) was a church that was slightly shorter than today. From this period originated southern gothic windows, among which the 1325 was built three graves, a high njihovese consoles still visible in the wall. On the back wall of the apse is drawing early Gothic distyle crescent romantic port whose design testify that the apse was built later than the first half of the XIV. In the second half of the XIV. century the church was extended to the west when it received its final form.It is a spacious one-nave church with a wooden ceiling and a rectangular choir, and it all exudes simplicity, dignity and seriousness. The monastery was in 1944, became victims of the bombing, but later fully restored in its original form.
The church is now a lot of the work site, amplified based.
