Great unspoilt island. Superb hotel with extremely helpful friendly staff. Highly recommended for a relaxing hols.

Lovely place. Food & drink ok. A bit short staffed. Buffet food good but I didn't like the fact that the serving spoons for the food were left on trays and congealed with cold food, and potentially exposed to flies & other insects. I think this is a problem with all buffet restaurants though The rest of the resort is gorgeous though

This is a really really nice place. On a lovely island, staff can't do enough for you the food is excellent and very fresh and the drinks are also of very good quality I would certainly recommend a stay here

Beautiful scenery and hotel is quiet and secluded. Food is reasonable although they do seem to think fish is vegetarian. My only criticism is that it is very hilly and a lot of steps. Even the trips are mainly walking ones or 10-12 hrs long which is no good for people with walking problems or other disabilities. So it restricts you to the resort which is frustrating especially as we have terrible weather so not much to do.

Beautiful place. The staff here were absolutely amazing, friendly and up for a laugh. The island is hard to get into words. Truly magical place, quiet and relaxed and easy to explore. Boats run 3/4 times a day to the mainland so it's easy access to and from. We got this holiday as a last minute deal but I would certainly have been happy to have paid the full price. Book it!!

If you need to go somewhere to relax, get away from it all, with excellent staff, food and comfortable facilities, then this is the place. Excellent week 😎 👌🇭🇷

Fabulous hotel great staff. Couldn't ask for anything else. Food was very good standard and would recommend going to the other restaurant. We when twice and the second time was the 7 course menu and worth the extra surcharge. Will defiantly be back. View from room

A lovely hotel resort on a beautiful island! The scenery is stunning and the hotel sits at the heart of this. Nothing appears to be too much trouble. Everything is clean and tidy and well attended too. Our room was clean and very presentable with a comfy bed (and pillows).
The food was above our expectations especially the buffet. This had a great mix of foods which was fresh and tasty!
The pool, bars and general areas are very good.
The evening entertainment is hit or miss. Nothing too bouncy!

The setting just off Dubrovnik is brilliant, especially for people not wanting to be right in the middle of the action. The accommodation is very good, the food wide ranging and caters to just about any pallette. Lots of activities for those so inclined and plenty of hideaway places to lay and chill. The Spa is excellent so going back for visit #2 in a couple of days. Dubrovnik has plenty to see and, for Game of Thrones fans, is a must as much of the series has been filmed here. English widely spoken and everyone is very welcoming.

Sparsely populated island. Hotel great, staff friendly, food above average for an all inclusive. Half an hour ferry ride from the port of Dubrovnik. Beach is awful, more like a mud bank, but obviously. That's not the fault of the hotel. Island interesting to explore, small churches etc. Lots of steps though!

A stunning location with beautiful views from the hotel. Suites and restaurant etc. Very modern and contemporary. Extremely clean with beautiful pool and beach and plenty of beds. Excellent quality and choice of food. Would highly recommend.

Not even staying there yet their third rate nightly entertainment blasting out every night really put a downer on my family holiday to a supposedly quiet island. Booked it to have a quiet time yet subjected to their crap every night. Achey breaky heart?? Really? shocking.

The Kalamota Island Resort by Karisma
What a fantastic hotel and holiday destination the perfect picture post card location for couples
very attentive staff, very good variation of food, very clean, many sun beds always available no placing towels allowed thank goodness, brilliant security and very well kept rooms, there are 8 apartment blocks separate from the main hotel with 18 rooms per building on 3 floors. I could not fault this location or hotel highly recommendable. Only one comment to get to your room there are a number of slopes and steps to climb to get to the upper rooms however they have confirmed next year they are to install lifts at each apartment block.

Kolocep is a beautiful island with many walking paths, two villages, and a ferry to Dubrovnik. The beach at the Villas Kolocep is small, and not particularly nice but there are lovely areas to swim on the other side of the island. The hotel's restaurant is adequate and there are several other restaurants on the island. The best of these is the Villa Rossa - it has wonderful views and really good food. For the adventurous, there is are caves that you can dive into and an unofficial nude beach a short walk from the hotel.
The only real downside to the Villas Kolocep is the presence of a water treatment facility not far from the hotel that can sometimes produce odors.
All in all, Kolocep is a lovely island to explore - there are no cars, so walking is the way to see the island. The "mountain village" (other side of the island from Villas Kolocep) has magnificent views and is well worth the 30 minute stroll.
Croatia is the most beautiful place I've ever been and the Villas Kolocep is a fine place to use as base for your exploration.response / report this review
