It's a lovely park until you get to the elephant and the turtle who are stuck in such tiny places it just breaks your heart.

We rented a golf cart and cruised the island. Definitely the way to go! Plenty of signs posted in English to figure out the history and significance of the island. Animals at the safari park were interesting, not fantastic. Recommend including a stop at the natural history exhibit near the hotels to see Titos collection of stuffed animals as well.

I would recommend driving around the island in an electric train with travel guide. The untouched nature, wildlife, long history. The island can be visited and by bicycle or on foot.
