Great hotel. My 4th stay here and again great service and good room. Okay the restaurant needs some more attention compared to previous times, as unfortunately some hot food from the buffet was cold and some food from the buffet was regretfully undercooked and therefore practicable uneatable. But still I give it a 5 star rating based on my previous stays and service of the staff.

Limited access to anything. Rooms are average. You pay for everything but that seems typical in this area. Would rent an apartment which would bee less expensive and give you the option to stay the way you want to stay.

Beautiful views, friendly staff. Parking is limited to guests so I suggest using the valet. Comfortable rooms with great amenities and responsive room service.

Opatija has some interesting architecture due to its historical Germanic influences, however this hotel is just a big block that was probably built in the 1970-80s.
Staff are friendly and thoughtful, rooms are comfortable, the air con unit is almost prehistoric, but the views out over the water are wonderful.
The dinner and breakfast packages are well priced, but only ok quality. It's basically a hotel for tour groups.
Where this hotel shines is in its location. Close to the sea, park and town, there's a nice walk leading out from the back of the hotel to the coast line along the town.response / report this review -

Shame for 5 stars, average for 4 and very good for 3 stars hotel. Only view is for 5 stars and all the rest is average or even vorst. Swimming pool is small for so big hotel, that what they call sea beach is enough for summer cottage not for that kind of hotel. Bathroom is ordinary house bathroom and Yes they told as how they give as upgraded room for no reason. Cca 35-40 square meter, so I ask myself how big is ordinary room if this one is upgraded. Room door can't be lock from inside and elevator don't have security card system as you inspect from 5 star hotel. Anyone can enter the hotel.
Food is quantity vise, enough but quality is other thingsomething is missingtaste.
For dog they ask for extra pay 27 euro per day, for car parking 10 euro par day, but if you like to park in garage you must pay 13 euro per day..come on.5 star hotel.
Sorry I forget to mention for the end.yes you will pay the price for 5 star hotel, everything else what you will receive is on level of 3 star.response / report this review -

Marvellous hotel in good loaction - we only spend 3 days in the hotel but absolutly loved it. Rooms were nice, large, modern and clean. We had a room on the 10 floor and enjoyed a spectacular view. Tip: ask for a corner room. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The buffet is very good - good choice and quality of local and European food. Only (minor) problem, the coffee which was brewed in the morning was lukewarm at best - there was also a good expresso machine though (with hot coffee). Animation (we enjoyed a Rock and a Pop singer) in the evening was very good. The pool was nice and not crowded at all. Similar for the fitness studio. Overall, the hotel is marvellous and the chances we return are very high.

Is ok. But for being a 5 stars wine should be included for dinner . Also champagne should be offered at the Spa with services. Other than that is good.

I would NOT RECOMMEND this hotel because the ROOMS HAD NO AIR CONDITIONING even during the summer. I stay in hotels multiple times a month and know how to use their air conditioning systems. We called down in the evening before we went to bed because it was scorchingly hot and were told that the system was working fine. We set it to the coolest setting and went to bed. We both woke up at 2AM sweating and agitated before calling down to the front desk again. They could see from the lobby that our room was 26 degrees Celsius (80 degrees Fahrenheit) with NO AIR FLOW. This was the worst quality of sleep I have ever had at any hotel. The front desk assured us they would make a note of it and would take care of it in the morning. In the morning, instead of being apologetic and making it right, they fought back with us saying that's how the air conditioning is meant to work. DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU WANT AN AIR CONDITIONED ROOM. Ruined the next day because we were so tired. Awful experience.

Excellent rooms, fantastic breakfast and very friendly and attentive staff. Great private beach too. Central Opatija is a short walk away.

This is a nice hotel. Friendly staff, nice rooms and a good restaurant in the garden. Seawater in the pool. A private beach. Live music in the evenings by the pool. Been there 4 times and have booked again this summer.
