The food was fine although very salty. However that seems to be a theme in the area so if that's the case I can't complain. Was full of Americans when I arrived so the atmosphere was really nice because of them. The place looks fine and you can sit near open areas at the rear or out front in entrance (inside mall). Wine was nice and chilled and you get free bread which again was salty but tasted nice. Prices were in line with other restaurants. Only negative was the waiter/owner who seemed ultra uninterested in being there or indeed taking orders. He tried a trick to get us to buy a more expensive wine but luckily we didn't fall for it and just got 2 smaller bottles of the same booze.

On holidays from Australia, we were taken out to this place by a friend who is a Dubrovnik local and also a tour guide. She said that this was the place that all the locals went to when they had special occasions or just wanted a great meal of local Croatian fare. There was something on the menu for everyone, even the 16 y.o. son who had a nice steak. You get complimentary alcohol on the table for the start of the meal, and everything we ordered to eat was really tasty. The bill was also very reasonable. I'd recommend this place to anybody visiting Dubrovnik, just get a #6 bus that says "Babin Kuk" and take it out to it's last stop, it's well worth the short bus ride and you won't be disappointed.

Had a nice meal here started off with the octopus salad followed by the meat combo platter suggested by the server. Will definitely return. 😊👍

Ate here on our second night, we enjoyed it so much we're eating again tonight, prices so much more cheaper than old town, would recommend the sirloin steak with a side of grilled vegetables, the sirloin was on a par with fillet.

Really enjoyed our meal; couple of steaks, some incredibly delicious vegetables, and some rice. Throw in a nice cold beer and glass of red and it was truly a great meal. The quality of food--and portion size--for the price is hard to fault! And the service was very good too. Easily 5* in my view

Nice traditional feel to this place.
I ordered a mixed grill and was presented with a plate piled high of just meat! Portion size is massive, price certainly not too bad for the amount of food that they serve.
Waiting staff were friendly and prompt. Would gladly go back here.response / report this review -
