The food options were impressive, especially for those looking for the classic tavern foods with meats, cheese, bread and pepper.

The meat place I chose contained a few different animals, each made into a separate form and each delicious in it's own way.

The table bread was a fire oven cooked bread risen. Fresh, even in it's simple and somewhat bland state.

Service was attentive and the waiter and bartender had a smile the entire time.

Loved it - 12 minutes walk from our hotel near the airport & absolutely worth it. Great value traditional Croatian food-meats grilled well, served with a smile & ridiculously cheap. 4 of us with beers & too much food = 270Kuna (about 35 Euros).
Sit inside or outdoors, open 8 am until midnight

Nearby croatian airport. Dont except fancy place with shiny tables - you can except outdated interior, but with great and fresh food. Meat menu is made traditional way, with huge rations, and inexpensive. If you are hungry and dont mind eating meat&bread, or just want to try local meat specialities, give them a visit.

Brief walking distance from the airport. I was expecting sports bar food, but WOW! Order the "stuffed chicken buttocks" - super juicy with cheese and ham inside. Yum! Also the "Rose" - looks like a bun-less hamburger patty but really delicious. Highly recommended!
