You should only come to Obonjan if you are interested in the exploration of exceptionally poor urban planning: there is no fresh water wash off by the sea meaning a nice dip in the sea is followed by an encrusted salty skin for the rest of the day, the fresh water to the rooms runs out because the pumping system is from the Soviet days, the tents have been plonked right in front of sewage treatment plantswhich are on the sea front (sea front tent? Think more sewage fronted tent), there is no in room telephone (i was desperate for drinking water 24/7), there is no fresh water in the rooms to drink (despite there being a fridge just to tempt me), there is no place to watch the (incredibly beautiful) sun set and have a drink, and the staff are less well trained than my 2 week old puppy (order an aperol spritz and you will have a grumpily served fizzy water). Not enough sun beds by the sea (always full) and the ones that were there were missing mattresses for them so mammothlyg uncomfortable. There was also bizarrely no cleaning of our tent house each day so it became dirty very quickly. It is just not a festival of any sort. The music is awful (except maybe by the pool which was ok, though a salt water pool 🙄)but seriously sort the music out!! The djs were total pants. It is a tented community on an exceptionally poorly planned and failing island. To top it off, it is 99pct english. I didnt travel 2000 miles to hang with my fellow englishmen. Go to Wilderness Festival with DC and MC instead.

Very beautiful place to visit. Great nature, great beach. Very good sea fod near the beach.
