Stayed here 6 or 8 times while attending meetings 2000 - 2006 at the nearby cement plant. Never had any problems, very attentive staff. Same faces year after year, must be family owned - or low turnover of employees for whatever reason. Very nice clean place (but small bathrooms!) Always had good to excellent meals & we enjoyed the small bar there.

There are only a few reasons I'm not giving less stars to Milan, but those were also very good. The waiters were great, and were some of the best we've had here in Istria. The surroundings were also great, high class restaurant with white table cloth. The black olives were also extremely good, wish I could have gotten just those, also the homemade bread. Because the food otherwise was a sad story. They try so hard to be a gourmet restaurant, but the food did not live up to the reputation. The wines could also have been paired better with the food, this was just red wine to meat, white to fish. The price was not so bad, for a gourmet restaurant, but this was not a gourmet kitchen, and so we felt we paied for something we did not get. We hope the waiters stay, and that they get a new chef.

This review might sound a bit harsh but for paying 80 Euros a night I think that it is more than fair! The rooms are rather gloomy with no much sunlight. The beds are making various noises when you sit or move making the sleeping experience awkward. The quality of the bed sheets is very average with often thinking whether they are cleaned properly. The fact that there is no reception over night means that you have to have your key with you if you go out. The breakfast is good and the staff are very friendly. The overall quality of this hotel is very average and it does not offer the comfort you would have expected for what you pay. Look carefully for other alternatives.

The Milan hotel is very classy and well kept. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The food is excellent, from the buffet offered at breakfast to the handmade pasta at dinnertime. It is close to the beaches on one side, and only 2km from the ampitheater and Pula cultural sites. I have thoroughly enjoyed my emergency stay (due to a medical emergency with my mother) in Pula.
