Went there to rent a car and they changed it the night before because it had an issue. Fair enough, but the one they gave us was not worth renting. It had so many scratches all over the place that the guy renting it just marked the whole car as not for us to worry when returning it. It looked as it had 1 million miles in it, really dirty and with no stereo or airbags (yeah, that old). Better avoid this place, or at least don't rent the Fiat Punto Cabrio
The boat we had rented was fine, until the engine shut off at sea and didn't start up anymore. We then called Lukarent to help us, and it was only after the third try that they send two men to help us. At that point we had waited for TWO HOURS. All the staff was, apart from that, very kind and helpful.
Luka rent in Split is NOT good. Very shady. I totally got the run around from Leo. Said he would meet me where their bikes were after he finished lunch I waited for an hour. Never showed up. Never responded to a WhatsApp message even after he read it.
Little choice of bike rentals but the ones they have are good solid mountain bikes, the kind you would buy for about $1000. Staff is helpful.
Amazing family owned wine bar who provides wine tasting at the bar or special tours.
Owners is very friendly and the place is reasonable because they keep low overheads
Nedostatak komunikacije i znanja stranih jezika :-(
Lovely staff here, great value, you really can't go wrong!
Used Luka for a boat trip with friends. The Captain did not speak English which made communicating where we wanted to go impossible. He took us to the "blue cave" instead of the "blue lagoon" which took 2 hours to get to and from. Once arriving near the "blue cave" we had to get off the boat, wait in line ashore, and pay to get into a smaller boat. None of this was communicated to us by Luka before hand. Also, the Captain's driving was too fast for the conditions. We were constantly smacking into huge waves causing us horrible back, neck, and butt pain for days after. The Captain was good at change smoking cigarettes all day and throwing them into the water which is ironic since you are there to experience pristine waters. Finally we ordered the Captain to return to Hvar as we were tired, hungry, and just wanted to be on land. We complained to Luka at there main office. No refund, just lots of excuses. The women in the office said she had never in her life heard of the "blue lagoon" which we found comical as there are signs posted everywhere with pictures of it. Luka's work around with us was getting us a different Captain for the last hour of the day who spoke English and had him take us to some islands to swim and drink. Wow! Why didn't we do this all day?!! I'm sure this trip would have been better if Luka made an attempt to manage costumers expectations. We just wanted to go to some island's and swim and snorkel is beautiful water but of course they do not have snorkel gear. However, we rented from a different boat company a few days later who were friendly, knew what the blue lagoon was, had a boat that handled waves much better, had free snorkel gear, and was a 1/3 the price!!!
We booked a rental boat to explore the islands online before getting to Hvar. We had rented a nice motor boat in Lake Como before and were hoping for something similar. Unfortunately, we were informed that without a boating license, we could only get the small 5HP fishing boat. I have a feeling if we had booked on the waterfront from the kiosk we could have had anything, but it ended up working ok. Piloting the boat was pretty easy once figured out and it was more than adequate for exploring the coves and coast of the nearby islands. It even got going pretty fast once in the open water though the ferries were a bit terrifying. We got a fairly minimal instruction on the motor, steering, and using the anchor. It worked well for anchoring and tying up in some of the coves for a relaxing stay and quick swim. A slightly bigger boat with a steering wheel instead of outboard motor would have been nice, but it worked ok.
Service at the office was more interested in their phone than us and barely spoke a word. I feel bad for the scooter rental people who have to deal constantly with spring break crowds damaging the equipment. Getting our boat also took a while as no one was by the waterfront to help and we waited almost 30 minutes. Luckily there was not real drop off time.
Mauvaise agence. Excursion annulée pour cause de vent, nous n'avons jamais été remboursé de l'accompte versé
