Quite a pretentious place. When you first come they make you wait a while saying it’s fully booked. We got a table and sat there literally for 2,5 hours and the place was empty the whole time , so it felt like a marketing strategy. The menu isn’t too extensive which is good, the food quality is good, but the portions are very small and the prices are way too high for what you get. We ended up paying 1600kn for a party of 4 without any alcohol. Worst of all they take only cash. No cards allowed which is weird for such an exclusive restaurant. They definitely take advantage of the location which is understandable. Service was very friendly otherwise. In summary, come for a swim to this island but save your dollars for better and cheaper food on Hvar island.

Have to revise my review seriously. What was once an amazing place is now a complete ripoff. Went for Dinner with the kids. Few pasta dishes and a few grilled squids and some drinks - mainly water for the kids plus Longdrinks for 2 adults. Charged us 455 Euros. I mean come on. So sad. I understand that times are difficult but ripping people off is not the way to go. We come by boat since decades and really fell in love with this place but I can only say: never again or simply avoid eating there. Really a crying shame.

Beautiful setting and nice views, but there is no beach in this area. If you like techno music blaring and over priced drinks you may like it. It is basically a dance club set up outside. Not my style. Plus the service was not very friendly like we found in most other areas of the Croatian Islands.

Unique slow going atmosphere typical for Dalmatian island life. Great variety of drinks and cocktails. Visiting this place for almost 11 years and it's always getting better year by year. 7 starts

Truly one of the most beautiful restaurants in the world in terms of ambiance and scenery. The setting is absolutely gorgeous and feels very much like a mix of Bali and Mediterranean. The food was spectacular, specially the octopus and the oven baked potatoes with a truffle sauce, all enjoyed with a great selection of rose. I would go back to Hvar only to eat at Laganini.

Chill bar with DJ spinning cool beats. Great place to watch the sunset. Cocktails were tasty; the design of the seating area made for great ambiance. This is people watching, Ibiza style restaurant/ bar. Purchased 300 hours of chill music on USB stick for 400 HRK. Minimum for credit card is 1,400 HRK. We did not have dinner but did look at the menu; prices were high.

This supposed to be among the 8 best Croatian restaurant. Surely nice location and good design and service. Food is good on local level but not on international. Prices are crazy like a top class restaurant anywhere in the world, 40 Euro for a main! They have a boat service from the marina which is on the other side of the island. Use it! It's a long walk.

Nice lounge area that is spoiled by arrogant staff being too busy being beautiful to themselves. Had to wait for a very long time to get anyone's attention, and equally long to get our drinks,so couldn't even enjoy them as it was time to go to the restaurant. Which luckily employs more grounded people.

There used to be a great seaside bar where Laganini now stands. However, with the popularity of the island skyrocketing, this place sold out like most other places on Hvar. Every table in the bar has absurdly high "minimum spending limit", coffee and cocktails are mediocre but more expensive than in downtown D.C. Staff is just as pompous as people that hang out here, ultra rich folk who like to express their status by being seen drinking overpriced drinks. If I could only turn back time

Relaxing bar by the sea, very good set list and service was extremely attentive. Prices are a little high but nowhere near the likes of the French Riviera. Dishes were very good, especially the prawn risotto. Try booking in advance as the best chairs go fast.

Well, here we go.
From one hand- it looks really great, lay next to the shore so the views also are superb. The price are rather high, but well- I believe you pay for those two things mentioned before. And noone from my friends nor did I have any complains about anything we ordered.
But from the other hand, as it was mentioned here by other people the stuff was well, unpleasant at least. Visibly bored about our presence, impatient even though we were only customers (probably there was something really interesting on TV), threating us barely like morons- hell, when I ordering radler I really don't need any questions from your stuff if I even know what it is.
After all- great looking place but bear in mind, to not let the stuff threat you bad, because it looks like it's not just "one bad day" and you really need to put it straight, who let them earn. Apart from that- I encourage you to give it a try.response / report this review -

Short version:
Probably the most arrogant staff I've ever experienced. Don't visit unless you plan to spend a lot of money.
Longer version:
This place is next to the sea and has gorgeous views.
It's quite expensive, but I found the quality of food and drinks to be high.
A sun bed costs 100kn (around €13) and it comes with a 250kn minimum consumption (not hard to achieve given most cocktails cost over 100kn and a burger or pasta cost around 150kn). Again, I have to say the cocktails and food were quite good!
The problem is in the attitude of the staff. When we were going to pay (we had an open tab), the waiter said we'd have to pay cash because our bill was less than 1000kn. Not cool because he didn't mention it before, but fine, we had cash. When we handed him the money and told him to keep the change (more of a rounding than tip, as we felt this was overpriced as it was) he proceeded to give us the change, followed by the words: "we don't take these small tips. Let me tell you what a tip is".
We were shocked! He continued by telling us the policy of the place is that they "only want to focus on big spenders and other people are not welcome". These are quotes, I'm not paraphrasing.
Needless to say I'm never coming back to this place. I don't mind spending money on fine food and drinks, but I have a problem with this kind of attitude.
If you want to spend big money (at least 1000-1500kn), you'll have fun and be treated well. Otherwise avoid.response / report this review -

We were there a couple hours ago and the place is great. The staff were impeccable, super friendly and you can do a lot from chilling on the sunbed to a little lounge partying. Place is expensive yes, but I guess educated staff and a brilliant chef don't come cheap

What a great find. The seating here is very cool but I'm sure it could be difficult to get some days. We had a bottle of wine and just relaxed after spending some time in the sun and water. There are a mix of sunny and shady spots so prefect for everyone. They also have a dj which was cool for the vibe. We didn't have food here but it was probably good. The toilets were surprisingly very clean which is a great plus.
