  The waiter was extremely helpful and recommended a cheese strudel that was delicious and nearly as filling as a meal. He then recommended the veal cutlet and Grandpa’s pan (veal and lamb cutlet, veal steak, bacon, vegetables). Both were delicious and enough for us to bring home and have a second dinner. The local beer and red wine were excellent.

  The octopus salad was fresh and delicious. We had the veal, the grilled frogs and Cheese with donuts . Everything tasted great and service was good. However, if you are walking, note that this restaurant is in Uptown on a hill. Worth the walk though

  Tucked back away from most of the hussle and bussle, this little gem has some great traditional food! The beef burger is a large patty of finely ground local beef and is boasting with flavor! The cheese stuffed bacon wrapped pork was delicious. The potatoes are perfectly cooked, and the vegetables are fresh and a perfect match up. We did the traditional schnapps before we started (honey) and it was was a great start. We also had both the white and red wines. The red a local Merlot was great. Not the perfect pairing, but all in all a delicious meal and a great decor. Make sure you get in here and have some amazing local fare.

  Excellent; highly recommend! Our meal was outstanding. Very fresh and excellent ingredients. Nothing over the top fancy but very true to the main ingredient and herbs and spices to accentuate and season it. We did not make a reservation and the small place was fully booked so they offered us a table for an hour and then proceeded to serve us quickly without making us feel rushed. We have already talked to them about going back before our holiday is over.

  Outstanding restaurant. Delicious traditional Croatian food, cheap wine and great service. Very small though, so book well in advance.

  The starter was not good, but everything that followed surpassed expectations from the fresh bread that was paired with the table olive oil to the Grandma's Pan chicken and veggies main dish to the ice cream and almond cake dessert. The waiter was considerate of satisfaction throughout the experience.

  Great tasty food at very reasonable prices. I would very much recommend the filled peppers. Best place we ate in Zagreb.

  The cheese "strudel " was delicious as well as the fritters that were served with a cheese that tasted like butter. The meat dishes were wonderful. Cute ambiance! The location in the upper city was very unique and quaint. I would recommend to others visiting or living in Zagreb.

  Very cozy and quaint restaurant, the food is awesome but it takes a little longer than usual til the food gets to your table. Nice waiters. Little dark outside during night.

  Very nice place. They serve authentic local food that is more typical for Dalmatia. The food was very tasty. Also portions are very big all from starters to main dishes. The staff wad very friendly and nice. I like to come here because they have frogs on menu that are very delicious.

  Hrana je bila ukusna, meso super pečeno i sočno, šopska odlicna i desert rožata predobra. Velika mana je usluga. Bilo nas je 5, naručili 5 jela i prvo je reko konobar da ce za salate kasnije doc (???). Nije pitao za salate, donio je jela i tek smo onda naručili salate. Jedno jelo nije doslo na vrijeme kao ostala sto ja veliki nedostatak plus nije donio kruh što smo posebno morali traziti.. Sve u svemu ukusna hrana ali usluga nije bila na razini

  Somehow we were left unimpressed with the visit. The service was nice. The fried dumplings with cheeses were ok. Two main dishes we disappointing however.

  Really friendly & yummy — authentic seeming though maybe from closer to the sea than Zagreb (according to my Croatian friend) Huge portions, but you have to get the "donuts" & 2 local cheeses anyway. House's vineyards' wine is for some reason not on the menu, but they sell a .5l carafe and of course it goes perfectly. Local beer is good too but comes in a largish bottle but they'll bring extra glasses and let you share that too. Sharing is a great idea generally & you can sit outside and enjoy old town. A couple of the specialties take hours to prepare & must be ordered ahead.

  I'm still dreaming of the octopus salad and the 3 meat platter that we ordered. You have to make reservations in advance for some dishes and also to get a seat inside the place. It's far from the main bar street and mostly visited by locals. My gem find in this trip.
  The ambience is very croatian and Dalmatian. The house wine is alright so if you order a normal bottle would be much better.
