The food is excellent, but for me personally it is ready about the service, amazing. Not a true ocean view, you can see the ocean from the garden but absolutely wonderful service.

The projectorscreen and music was not really our taste. Think they should try a bit more of a cozy feeling of the restaurant.
The interior design was a bit messy and the lightning was much to bright to mesh with the furniture. With all furniture being a different design. They also had a miniature of a monument in the middle which felt very out of place.
The black risotto was decent, could use a little less squid ink.
The veal risotto was unfortunately not a risotto by my standards. Felt more like a veal tomato stew with rice. The taste wasn't very good either.
They get a four star rating (instead of a three star) because the last server who delivered our cheque was very friendly and an interesting man. We are a bit biased because he had traveled to our home country a few times, so we chatted about that for a bit. But I bet he's fun to talk to in general.response / report this review -

The waiter was incredibly arrogant and rude. Food was not bad.. but they wouldn't budge in changing fries that comes with our meal into salad. Did not return a small change, just assumed it was a tip.

Great atmosphere, good food and good portions with friendly staff. Try the cuttlefish with broad beans and the tuna steak. The only reason this isn't five stars is that they took the mick a little with the prices, but we didn't complain.

Enjoyed a lovely dinner on a quiet October Sunday evening. Waiter suggested a meat assortment plate, which was excellent. Large portions, nice flavors. Enjoyed the creme caramel desert so much, I opted for a strudel afterwards. :-o
Don't understand the low reviews for this place. My waiter was very pleasant, helpful. Another auspicious sign: there was a table of 8 local guys celebrating some event with big plates of seafood and meats. Food was good but waiter was constantly pushing for us to order fish. Finally, he managed to persuade one of us to take the fish that turned out to be the most expensive one. Food very good, service not.

Great local joint with lovely history. Enjoyed my conversations with the staff. Love the fried smelts. Some reviews are ridiculous.
