From the outside - this hotel looks really good But our room was a disaster. Toilet was dirty, we have to wait 5 minutes for hot water, also our beds and room decor was like from the previous century. On the other side, restaurant is really big and food is delicious.

It is true that due to financial reasons the hotel with its rooms, pools and wellness is old and humble - the real journey to the past. However, I DO HAVE TO PRAISE the very friendly stuff and cleanliness of the rooms and the resort in general. Regarding food - there is really not a lot of choice, but what they have is really eatable, polenta for breakfast even delicious. :-) It is really a pity that the poverty of the continental Istria in general makes the atmosphere a bit depressing. Otherwise the landscape all around is really beautiful and a bit of mysterious. Also the seaside is very near - just 20 minutes by car and you are in Novigrad.

Situated just a few kilometars near Motovun..peacefull place ideal for a basic camp when you want to explore Istra ..near main road.good clean rooms in villa St.Stjepanwellnes and outdoor pool for refreshing

Our stay at Istarske toplice's "Hotel" Mirna was truly a one-of-a-kind experience.
Their website gives the overall impression of a charming little hotel with modest but decent and comfortable rooms for a fair price. I'm sad to say their "lavish" website expose is hardly based in reality. We were given a tiny and clammy room equipped with a bed that made so much noise you couldn't help but wake up when turning in your sleep. The walls were so thin we heard our neighbours using their bathroom. As we're on the subject: our own rusty little bathroom couldn't be closed as the door jammed. On the plus side: the food was edible. Yes, edible. The menu is similar to that of an elementary school cafeteria (although I must admit: eating there got my stomach yearning for the good ol' days).
All in all we had a great time at Istarske toplice but it was definitely not due to the quality of the "hotel". We really didn't expect a lot but after paying for the room we couldn't help but feel ripped off.
I truly feel sorry for the staff. I really felt like they were trying hard to stay positive and smile in the face of adveristy. I don't know where the management is investing the income but I am sure it isn't "Hotel" Mirna. The surrounding area is stunning and the Wellness facilities are decent, though, so I would advise you to just spend an afternoon in the sauna and see the cliffs.
HINT: If you are the adventurous and adrenaline type be sure to check out the hotel pool with natural thermal water. And watch your step in order not to get caught up in a hairy situationresponse / report this review -

Accommodation in Mirna is a bit old fashion, but it's neat and clean. Food is edible The wellness, saounas and pool areas are very modern, pleasant and clean, absolutely the best part of Istarske toplice. The only remark is: weak offer of food at the pool bar, limited to a selection of a few sandwiches. Location is excellent, surrounded by beautifull cliffs and forest with Motovun and Buzet, two beautifull historical towns whitin 10 km of Istarske toplice. Having a nice weekend here ;) Cheers

Valuable for money.Average food but thermal pool and other indoor pool are pretty good.Rooms are comfortable.

Great place. Under the famous rock, with a spa inside. You can take a swim for free in the pool with sulfurous water. But you smell like sulfur for some days :-D Very relaxing and cheap (I payed 42 euro for a night)
