Approachable and knowledgeable person behind the bar, good wine for the price...a good set up for sitting down for a glass after the drive.

    AVOID THIS RESTAURANT!
read the reviews if you have any doubt, service slow, waitress very rude, food terrible, our wine was vinegar, the 'free' drink is actually charged for by a stealth cover charge of 20k a head.

Just avoid the horrible food here, plus the bad service. The worst is that they charge 20 kuna extra per person for table....

Food wasn't special and they were charging us for a TABLE! and in the menu the cover charge was in ANOTHER LANGUAGE!

The food probably came from the freezer and it wasn't special, the portion wasn't enough, it's like eating from a kid's menu

When my friend was looking at the receipt, they were charging us 20kn per person, since it was me, my mum and my friend, the cover charge was 60kn!!!, the waitress says it was in the menu but we didn't see it. So my friend asked her to bring the manager (and here comes the soapopera). The manager showed us the menu and the cover charge was in another language. How are we supposed to notice that! So we just thought forget it! But the manager was being ABUSIVE and THREATENING and chased us down narrow alleyways whilst talking on his phone (probably with his friend). He left us no choice so we paid his randsome.

Whatever you do DO NOT GO

Worse restaurant i've ever been to ! I'de give it zero if i could ! The owner attracts you from the main street to his restaurant in an alley because his prices seem reasonable and you're in dubrovnik where noting is reasonable. He then adds a service charge for ''setting up the tables" which is 20 kuna per person wich is not all that much but still it's a question of principles. The food is terrible and the waiters are affraid of the manager who scams people into his restaurant promising things like drinks and deserts free of charge but then doesn't honor his engagements. ABSOLUTELY AVOID THIS PLACE. To top it all off, after the altercation I leave and he insults me each time i pass by the damn place. beacuse he's on the main street trying to scam other people into going to his wreck of a place.

Food was actually nice - we had the grilled fish fillet. The desert included in the menu was a crepe with some sort of jam. However service was slow and a per person 20kn was charged for a small basket of bread! It was the most expensive bread I ever had...

Lured off the street by a friendly hostess for mediocre food and hit with the shock of a "cover charge" for 20kn per person. When questioned the hostess abruptly stated it was clear on the menu (it wasn't). My advice would be to walk a little further and find a nice restaurant which in that area there is a plenty.

This restaurant has mediocre food at a terrible price. Go some place else.

My friend and I ate at Gusti after looking around for a decent seafood special in the old Town. While the prices are appealing, the quality of the food was terrible. We ordered a seafood risotto and grilled calamari with vegetables. The risotto tasted like rice cooked with tomato sauce, with canned seafood added, but was basically edible. The wrong order of calamari arrived, and was corrected with an even less appetizing dish. While the squid was fine (not god, just fine), the vegetables were canned green beans and potatoes - a terrible valued for 115 Kn. We also ordered a side of olives - which appeared to have formerly been canned and served without any garnish or fanfare - and bread, which was served with very low quality olive oil.

At the end of the meal the restaurant charged a 'couvert' (table charge) of 20kn per person. When we spoke up to complain the waitress at first dismissed the complaint having clearly heard it several times, then proceeded to give a rude, baseless explanation.

This may be the worst service or value I have have received at a restaurant.

We were led in with false pretenses and a happy host standing in the streets. But it was overpriced and the food was cold, the waiter straight up argued with us when she got our order wrong. The food tasted as if it were frozen and reheated. They charged a $4 (USD) table fee. And when we tried to tell the other customers on the way out the door about this scam, the owner was literally herding us out the door. And when we asked why we couldn't talk to them it was because he said they were customers. On our way out the door, he told us to expect service like this because of our new president in the United States.
