They wanted to charge us more then it was stated in the price list.
I've never seen such disgusting sanitary facilities on a camping, ever. The showers and toilets look like they're never cleaned, although cleaning ladies are around all day. Toilet doors are rotten and covered in stains, shower walls are too dirty to touch, and everything stinks. It's a shame that this camping has such awful sanitary because other facilities are good: fresh bread available nearby, relatively quiet, directly at sea with a nice private beach, and electricity everywhere. However, because of the sanitary I think this camping does not deserve more than one star :-(
Good camping to visit Zadar, good connection by bus, wide pitches with shadow, close to the sea. Toilettes better than expected but too few for the number of people.
Unbearable stinky toiletes. No a very cosy place.
We are staying with tent and small kids. We were in many Croatian camps before.
What we really liked (compared to other Croatian camps):
+ very easy to find pitch place in shade
+ not crowded with all-year tourists who build fences around their caravans.
+ no mobile homes in premium locations (at least this years). Mobile homes are not "camping" if you ask me.
+ many international visitors - we found one from each EU country in week we stayed here. Other camps seems 95% occupied by Slovenian guest.
+ many young visitors with tent and backpack spirit
+ a lof of shade
+ Zadar center very easy accessible by bus or kids "train"
+ Beach is not crowded. "washed" stones at the entry and sand after 10m. Very comfortable to get in and out of water.
+ Wooden dock where you can jump into the sea
+ Price (although high for EU is cheeper than most camps in HR)
What we didn't like that much:
- Sanitary facilities are very old - but at the time of our visit (19. 7. 2017) they are in working conditions and clean "enough" for outdoor living.
- Personal not very strict about noise at night. Although there were no problem with noise at the time of our staying
- There is one huge bin which can get smelly when full
- Not all piches are same quality - you have to choose smart to be under shadow, not near noisy road or bar
- Personal not very strict about entering with car (although we liked - so they didn't make big deal exit and entering with car).
- There are some birds that like to poo on tends
This place is a dump. We stayed in May 2015 and there was a dog show on so ghete was a lot of people. The showers were filthy as were toilet. Do yourself a favor and steer clear.
Great camp centar. Located very next to the seaside in a pine forest🌲🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲⛺🌲🌲🌲
I NOT RECOMMEND THIS CAMPING SITE!!Me and my boyfriend have been travelling around Croatia Coast between August and September of 2016,during all our trip in others cities before Zadar (Dubrovnik,Korcula,Mali Ston etc),our type of accomodation always were Camping. In Zadar, at this Autokamp Borik,we expected, would have the same welcome and nice camping like we had before but it was so disapointed, starting in the reception, the staff were not definitely welcome, they talk with you in a mood like ,if they could, they gave a map to you and ask to you to deal with by yourself and other important notice, they trate better who are renting mobile home than who is there for camp.Beside that, not being enough, the camp site is really big ,and during the night, the traffic of cars come in and out of the camping area was free,we saw that because it was 10:00 pm and a group of people was making a party beside us (and nobody from the Borik staffs say to them to make silence after 10:00 PM) and all the time we saw their traffic by cars in and out of the camping site and the gate where should have someone who supose to control and request your ID to prove you were there, not happened,i dind`t understand why they gave for us a number in the begning and keep our passaports with them till you leave, for SAFETY,just if it was the safety of them.Toilets and showers were as dirty as the sink where you brush your teeth, the sinks beyond dirty , were clogged, during the 1 day and half that we stayed there,we were hoping the situation changed, but nothing happened and if you want a decent shower, there is one near by of the restaurant area.We weren`t expecting a 5 stars camping but for the price they charged you (27 euros per day) with that conditions they "suposed" offer,it is so far to be consider a place to stay.We stayed in others camping before, cheaper than this, and it was fantastic, but I
definitely NOT RECOMMEND Autocamp Borik to anyone who is going to visit Zadar, save your money otherwise you will finish disapointed like us,but it was good,in the future,we will try not make the same mistake.
4 stars for the nice location and the shady pine wood, zero for the services. Toilets were either dirty, old or broken. The Wi-Fi was expensive. All in all, the management was unacceptably bad.
Great place. Beautiful beach and sea. Some things needs to ne replaced like toilets.
