La posizione,la struttura,l'accoglienza dello staff e la sua disponibilità fanno del Merlo Olivo un luogo ideale per il relax ma anche per chi ama il turismo attivo,
dalle escursioni off-road alle pedalate per la Parenzanasenza tralasciare i
sapori eno-gastronomici rimasti intatti nel corso dei secoli fino ad oggi.

On a recent business trip to Istria, I book a single room at Merlo Olivo. As it states in several reviews the place is a bit off track and you need either a car or bike when you stay their, this I can confirm, if you have that, Merlo Olivo is really a great place to stay, the building is a completely renovated old stone house in a small village. The rooms are really great, extremely clean. The owner and his wife prepares a nice breakfast with fresh fruits, bread etc in the morning and if you want you can also pre-book dinner, which is really great traditional Istrian food, the landlady is a great cook and make homemade Istrian specialties, while the landlord is in charge of the barbecue.
I would personally not hesitate staying at Merlo Olivo another time, prices are fair ambient great, and you for sure get value for the money.
