There are some large fishes, sharks and turtles, some colorful fishes. Was fun for our small baby to look at them.

Old Fort turned Aquarium! Kids loved the animals, I loved the history. Perfect size to not take all day! Free Parking, cheap entrance. Worth the trip.

Nice aquarium with some beautiful fishes. Good to see that they are upgrading some of the rooms.
The aquarium is situated in an old fortress of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
On top of the old fortress you've got a great view over the surroundings.

Nice aquarium to spend a rainy day. They could take better care of some fish in my opinion. But most looks good. There are a lot of educational signs everywhere so it's extra fun and learning for the kids. They also have a seaturtle rescue center.

Nice aquarium with many species. The sharks and medusa are impressive. It's better to come earlier to avoid long queues.

Nice place to be on a rainy day. Hosted in Fort Verudela. Entrance ticket costs 75 kn. Free parking. Very crowded. Lots of species of fish and other marine fauna. Old turtles in the rescue center made my day.

Sooooo worth a visit. The aquarium is in a 19th century austrohungarian fort and packed with info, exhibits and character. If you're close pay it a visit!
Beware though because some very long lines may form to enter this place. Come early!response / report this review -

Nice time here with children. There're numbers of sea life, ray, turtles, sharks and octopus. Good set up in an old fortress. Recommended for a family with young children. Will be a relaxed time for parents. :)

Beautiful. The aquarium is quite small, however the fact you can touch some of animals is awesome. I had small shark and huge crab in my arms and for kids it was life experience.

This is not a fancy aquarium - but we enjoyed it very much as a family outing. Built in an old Austro-Hungarian Fortress - it's worth having a look if you are into turtles, adriatic fishes, jelly fishes. Overall we recommand it!

Actually I enjoyed it very much. There are lots of unique animals and plants here. You can have a great time even when it's raining. The only negative thing is that there were too many people, so it became a bit crowded.

Wonderful facility, really cool location and easy to get to. Very educational showing fish from the region and giving some history of the fort. They also have sea turtle rescue. Would definitely recommend and return if I have the opportunity.
